- demo Windows Red Line by Condense [web] & Mandarine [web]
- Indeed, it's a little bit empty. 'guess we lost the storyline in the hurry. Errr, that's quite usual nowadays :/
For the fake-GI-look you're talking about Rasmus, i admit : i used this demo to make some experiments with lighting schemes, staging and so on. That's why i'm doing demos : experiment. It might be boring to certain people, 'Redline' being obviously far from being the perfect demo. - isokadded on the 2003-03-24 21:51:29

- RA5MUS -> can you please tell me what plug did I used ? handmade polygons models + shadow maps + a few keyframes : are those things PLUG-INS for you ? Could you tell me what software are we allowed to use without being considered as a plug-in-abuser ? Should we use notepad.exe for modeling and debug.exe for texturing ?
Just tell me my 3D is boring or you don't like my style, this would be OK. - isokadded on the 2003-03-24 15:12:03

- Thanx Crest : actually, the engine (is) was really nice in term of image rendering, though it's quite old. But I didn't used the whole features it provides since everything was not relevant to the demo. That's what happens when a graphist works alone on a demo -> "Oh gee, I wanna make images" instead of "Oh gee, wanna do shown my awesome code" :)

- When the music does not fit the demo, then, adapt the demo :) EXCEPT if u don't have good relationship with the musician : in that case, why bother an artist if u don't use it's work ?

- Carrion, C14 was not intended to demonstrate any superstar-engine-feature to demoscene. Please.
I will never give you any of my 3ds files, because i did the demo with Lightwave (i know, "it's the same, 'just need to adapt my loader, blahblahblah", but please understand my position, i'm a graphist, it's NOT the same.
I'm happy to see u appreciate my modeling work, unfortunately i don't think it's "well modeled". It's simply average modelisation with a good lights setup. That's why light is so important to me.
U say it's boring, okay, it is. Because there's no real animation ? Do u think it's easier to animate meta-balls than perform realist-character-motion. I think it is, that's why most of scenes are pretty stil.
Fortunately, i'm so slow at work the demo is only 2 minutes long :)
Thanx for your opinion, il faut de tout pour faire un monde. - isokadded on the 2001-12-13 09:49:40
- demo Amiga OCS/ECS megalo demos by Wild Copper
- A small complement, for scene newbies :
"scroller that moved over the workbench screen" means : part of the demo had a fully overlayed multitasking effect, featuring drop shadow scrolltext. - rulezadded on the 2001-11-01 14:28:54
