- demo Amstrad CPC Bloc Us ! by benediction [web] & Brainstorm [web]
- Well, after "Bloc us!" and "Still the bests!", we can say that Krusty did the first fullscreen (or almost) rotozoom in one frame on CPC.
I think there are rumors that Vanity is doing a new demo with some similar rotozoom, So the rush to be the first to release the effect and make a little history is justified, but in return we have an unpolished demo (although a great job for only one month).
About the demo, I like the technical side and attitude (specially the point of self-criticism, which I think is very constructive). Gfx and music are cool also (nice rhino drawing :), but, IMO, the lack of polish is the biggest drag, and reduces the overall feeling of quality. Anyway, a great contribution to the CPC scene, and congrats to all involved! - rulezadded on the 2011-08-16 02:22:24
- 4k Amstrad CPC Still the bests! by benediction [web]
- Congrats Krusty !
Visually impressive rotozoom due the 50fps.The same routine in a big demo with more complex and colorful graphics would be great (I think the effect is not 100% exploited now due the small and monochrome graphics, obviously because of the 4kb limitation).
Btw, I think that effects in one frame should be a constant rule for a good democoding. :) - rulezadded on the 2011-06-28 11:00:45
- demo Amstrad CPC Batman Forever by Batman Group
- Hi JPC,
For the elastic zoom I used a horizontal streching routine in realtime, and line splitting + rasters for the vertical streching.
The twister is basically a vertical scroll by hardware of a generated gfx mixed with rasters. - isokadded on the 2011-06-16 21:53:16

- Great effect in one frame and overscan, I think I first saw this effect on Crionic's Total Destruction. http://www.pouet.net/prod.php?which=3427
Always nice to see effects of Amiga demos on CPC. :)
Btw, on my crtc 0 I can not see the top third of the screen. - rulezadded on the 2011-06-07 01:36:02

- @JAC!
You are right, I tried upload it to scene.org main ftp but the uploading process is closed by the moment. If anyone knows or can do it, would be welcome. :)

- New 50fps video uploaded, captured by OffseT from the real CPC and processed by Paulbrk. If you have not a CPC, see this video please, all effects runs at 50fps and youtube does not support this speed.
Thank you all!

- Great work from winden and all people involved!, I remember when winden showed me some parts and I had no idea about how he could do it. :)

- Thank you all for the comments.
We are working to do a hi-quality video now.
(About the current youtube video I noticed some syncs problems while loading and music, and the frame rate is low. I think it is recorded on a wrong emulator or misconfigured.)
I would appreciate if defective videos are not distributed until the official video release.
Thanks again.
Rhino.
