• Addendum: "original" doesn't nearly describe how I feel about this prod, so let me rephrase.
  
  For some time now there have been discussions about the evolution of the demo art form. Whether it is about the demoscene style being stale (Gargaj recently made a demo about it), legitimate questions about the future of demo in the new and evolving platform landscape, the value of real-time as opposed to YouTube, the use of commercial engines, etc. etc.
  
  I think this intro is different enough from what we've seen so far that it meaningfully contributes to this discussion and shows what a demo could be. This alone deserves a thumb.

  We didn't use it as a reference at all but, thinking of it, those images were such a part of our audiovisual culture when growing up, it likely had a strong influence indeed.

• I liked it. It could use some polishing (no real sense of progression, jarring start/stop camera moves), but interesting visuals nonetheless.
  The first shot in particular was clever; I thought it was compositing at first.
