I used a library for the box-box collision testing but the rest of the physics engine itself is home-brew. It follows quite closely the Baraff's lectures at SIGGRAPH 2003, but I had to add a lot of tweaks and tricks to make it work better with several objects. Also, Baraff's paper doesn't really discuss friction that much, so that had to be added from the scratch. - isokadded on the 2004-09-01 09:53:40

- This project was a disaster in terms of getting it together in the last minute. Some of the sounds were created an hour before the deadline and you can really hear that.
Also, my piano playing really sucks, so apologies for that. We thought about using other music as well, but in the end I wanted to keep the classical piece to constrast the breaking stuff.
Our original idea was to trick the viewer into thinking that the beginning part was all there is. Then we wanted to have lots and lots of funny outtakes so that the actual demo would be made almost 90% of those. Due to time limitations we really didn't get that idea through well enough. Although it is rewarding to read that most of the people seemed to like the few outtakes we had time to do.
As far as not being a "proper" demo, we really didn't know what a demo must be like. - isokadded on the 2004-08-11 13:58:03
