- This is what happens when you turn insane up to 11.
I would never have thought the console which brought us E.T. could do anything like this, precalc tables or not.
Amazing work! \o/ - rulezadded on the 2013-11-13 14:24:03

- demotool Windows Amiga AGA Amiga OCS/ECS WinUAE Demo ToolChain
- I decided to try this toolchain for my first Amiga prod. It works great out of the box if you plan on mostly doing 68k assembly, but one thing it doesn't support is calling AmigaOS functions from C code.
So I fixed it.
I've patched the toolchain to allow the AROS headers to be properly included from C, and not generate compiler errors with the included VBCC compiler. I've put all of the modified headers up on github, along with descriptions of what I changed in detail.
Please feel free to include these modified headers in a new toolchain release!
And if anyone is interested in my first Amiga prod (4kb procedural gfx) which I built with this toolchain, you can check it on github as well: https://github.com/bpoint/aobench-amiga - rulezadded on the 2012-06-11 19:56:31

- magic: I'd like to help, but I'll need more info. What flash card are you using, and with what firmware version? Do you get any error message (if so, what does it say?), or does it just hang at a blank screen? Does any other typical NDS homebrew work for you at all?

- 96k game Windows Tennis 96K by Brainstorm [web]
- kb: Well, it could seem "unfinished" since it was really only thrown together in about two weeks.
As for the size, there's nothing generated at runtime (again, mostly due to time) -- everything is just thrown together. All graphics are either DXT3/5 or RGBA (used only where S3TC looked like crap), the music is a .mod, and the sound effects are .wavs.
Details (all sizes are compressed)
--------------------------------------------
Actual EXE size (after kkrunchy): 51k
Code size [approx]: 28.8k
Initialized data [approx]: 22k
Music: 5.9k
Sounds: 2.3k
Textures: 36.7k (largest texture: player graphic on the menu [11.2k])
...and that's about it. There's a hundred different things that could have been done better and wiser, but given the timespan involved, and the fact this is my first real production, I don't really regret anything.
And hey, it's pretty fun for a good few minutes, which is really all we were aiming for in the first place. - isokadded on the 2007-04-14 19:51:17

- absolutely incredible prod for it's time! hard to believe this was done in 64k (with space to spare!) back in 2000.
