- demo Windows fr-075: passing on by Farbrausch [web]
- It's always freaking hard to try and translate a two-dimensional style into 3D and it doesn't totally succeed here, but I do appreciate your general approach. The atmosphere is really enjoyable overall, probably due to the great music (which btw reminded me of this somehow http://youtu.be/s0krxH0dWhU).
I'd like to see more like this, perhaps with a little more polish! - rulezadded on the 2011-12-29 19:43:41
- demo Windows fr-081: .frOzen by Farbrausch [web] & Rebels
- This feels like you took like 2 minutes to come up with the entire concept and then started producing the whole thing. Which I don't think is a very good workflow, as it produces nothing but stuff which is completely obvious and clichéd. And while you could argue that the same thing applies to "We Have Accidently Borrowed Your Votedisk" (which I just thumbed up) - unlike that demo there's just no fun side to this. And being no fun while playing the retro card doesn't match very well.

- Okay I think I get it now. Just.. don't do this anymore, imo it's really confusing at best and hurting your whole presentation at worst. Unless you think it's funny I suppose, which I didn't.

- Great stuff, but what was all the "semi decent demomaker" stuff all about? Felt a bit weird, that.

- Not bad, but weirdly inconsistent

- I believe that there is a certain stage in most cg artists' path (generally speaking) where postprocessing is being totally overused. Like, you just have to sort of get it out of your system at some point. So when you have done that, try to use it more sparingly. Also: There is of course always a fine balance between perfectionism (that noone but the creator himself will ever notice) and delivering on time, but I think that you need to take some more time to polish things up.

- demo Amiga AGA Shake Off The Dust by Elude [web]
- To balance things out a bit: good, but shouldn't have won ;)

- demo Amiga AGA Human Traffic by Ghostown & Loonies [web]
- While Shake Off The Dust was perhaps more technically impressive, when it comes to style I prefer this over Elude's "more serious than a heart attack" approach. Just a really fun overall experience.
