There is no gpu, only one CPU. The PowerPC 603 is slower than a Pentium 75 MHz and faster than a 486DX2@66 (but slower than a 486DX4@100). The 603 should not be confused with the more powerful 603e chip.

Doom2 and Wolfenstein runs really poor fullscreen. Marathon2 runs much better fullscreen, Bungie released their source code and they use the 2X Valkyrie upscaling. No one else knew, it was completely unofficial/undocumented. A pity, otherwise more games would have run well, and the macscene could have done something cool earlier instead of spending all cycles on getting the 320x240 backbuffer to the 640x480 framebuffer.
As there is no gpu, all 3D rendering here is done with my software renderer. I have free 3D view (not locked 2.5 like marathon2), and higher texture resolution, and 16bpp mode. I had to come up with a new way to do perspective texture mapping to get this framerate, the traditional way it is done on X86 does not work. And the per pixel lighting, no demo nor game has ever done that for this machine at 320x200 at 16bpp at this frame rate. No QuickDraw or anything, just a lot of optimization work both at algorithmic and instruction level. And I think I might be able to push it a bit more.
