• so a final version is a new production now? this is just as bad as the previous version, maybe even worse. how about using some of the ~100bytes of padding in the header for importing your functions in a more compatible way? just jumping to absolute addresses in memory is just horrible. at least i get to thumb it down twice!

• Wouldn't the proper way to do it be to optimize the code/header properly and use a normal import table? (which looks pretty doable looking at the code)

  Have you tried running SpinRite on the drive? It was able to fully recover my laptop driver after scandisk had given up on it.
