- demo Commodore 64 Soiled Legacy by Resource [web]
- I was there at X2001 when it played, and it got da house down. The excellent music was by GRG, and everyone basically died when watching the bumpmapped face :).
Btw, the demo was shown on a projector with even worse color distortions than standard CCS ;). That didn't stop it from winning, tho'. - rulezadded on the 2001-11-28 00:17:37
- intro Commodore 64 Trilight by Padua [web]
- No rating, since I'm a little biased.. ;)
Trilight was a lot of fun to create for all of us, and had great success during X2001... it's not a technical masterpiece, but rather a fun concept trying to bring back the olden days when two legendary groups were competing over the top spot on the cracking charts... enjoy thiz litteul prod. - isokadded on the 2001-11-28 00:04:22
- 64k Windows discoranger doublemint by unik [web]
- Said it once, will say it again: "conversely, 'simple' flybys can be boring, 'advanced' flybys can be cool..."
It all depends on what's happening on the screen, how much 'alive' it is... This intro's dynamic enough to make things interesting and take it above a regular static flyby. And besides, the music owns :) - isokadded on the 2001-11-09 00:29:45
- demo Windows Human M by Move
- Alors comme ca, on sousestime les Belges, hein? :)
Cool software demo, I personally dig the graphics (who cares about resolution, right?), but the music is what really got me by the throat. Great stuff!
'ey, on veut plus de vous, Move, alors Move it! :) - rulezadded on the 2001-11-09 00:14:07
- 64k Windows discoranger doublemint by unik [web]
- Got da beauty :)... keep up da beat, unikk. The colors suit the concept, the scenes are pretty, but I have to agree with matvei, pretty slow for a hardware demoo...

- 64k Windows Return of the braineating metaballs by alien prophets [web]
- I second _'s comments, but I do give it a thumbs up for the music, which gives the intro a very nice, restless, gloomy atmosphere. The orange (raytraced?) metaplane slows down here too (PIII 1GHz-384ram), so I'm rooting for a little explanation from one of the Prophets on why this is happening. Do we need a P4 or...?

- demo MS-Dos shad by Cocoon [web] & Syndrome [web]
- I was there at Wired98 and this demo hit like a bomb. Everyone was totally smoked after seeing it - the dark atmosphere, created by the awesome artwork and soundtrack, holds you by the throat and won't let go until the very last pixel has moved out of sight.
A deserved winner, it enriched my experience of the very last Wired. - rulezadded on the 2001-10-03 23:31:35
