in 1998 this would have been considered the lamest gamerdemo ever but nowadays im kinda appealed =)
not the best hackers there is, tho
Of course this production was made highly tongue in a cheek, but I'll still have to clarify few things:
Quote:so you kinda raped the quake1 engine (which is open source i believe)
The original Quake 1 engine is not used. The BSP loader and the renderer has been built from the scratch two years ago for an another project. We used it here as a homage, and because it's possible to render a perfect visibility-culled quake environment with a single drawcall.
Quote:built a custom map and then you gonna play on it at simulaatio (or even sooner)?
The custom map is actually tediously modeled from the actual blueprints of the Joronjälki hotel by our mapping guru Hi-Stack. Since the blueprints were not complete, additional information was gathered from old television programs depicting the building. I believe we now hold the world record for the virtual computer graphics presentation of the Joronjälki hotel. - isokadded on the 2018-04-02 13:33:55

- Sorry about the washed-out look. We saw some info on the big screen about gamma correction, and did a stupid last-minute modification to the CRT shader..
In crt.glsl near the end, please replace the "return pow(imp * filter, vec4(1.0 / 1.6));" to "return imp * filter;" to get the Original Look.
Also huge thanks to Debvgger and Gargaj for fixing the shaders for AMD. Once we also get CGDT to work on AMD gpus, we will release all these, and much more on the limited edition Hackers Multimedia CD-ROM! - isokadded on the 2015-12-29 20:30:32
