- demo Amiga AGA Cool Ska Cool by Up Rough [web]
- Totally enjoyable, deserved to win IMO but the DTV one was nice also.

- spotUP - an internal joke sure got a lot of votes. I never said it was aimed at me, infact I even thought it was pretty funny at first but the 'feel' of it was quite nasty. If it was internal it would have been better not to enter it in the compo IMO. The title itself suggests 'hinting' that Atari people should not attend BFP. I won't be attending again, don't know about Alchemist, so it worked.

- Fair enough Flashlight, personally I think Cool Ska Cool should have won though with it being a C64 party it's not that bad/unexpected that the DTV one did. They were both good.

- Let's call it a design decision (or perhaps lack off?)

- Yes that's right. Listen, there's no way you can justify making/voting for this shite in a rational way. Sure you can whine on about how you have small penises and need to make products like this to help you feel strong but it just won't wash. I mean, what are you, ten years old?

- Here's the YouTube video - excuse the crap capture and slightly out of sync sound:

- Ok here's the proper (and well reasoned) comment on this so called production. The 'people' who made it are insecure nutless wonders who think the year is still 1989. Now I wouldn't have minded so much actually as I know these kinds of 'people' need to make productions like this as a kind of therapy for the insecurities they have about the Amiga platform (though since they have better hardware I don't know where the insecurities come from!). Anyway, what got me was that it beat the RARE intro in the compo. I guess there must have been enough Amiga drones there to swing the voting. Since those who voted for this 'production' obviously need help I'll give them some pointers:
*** Fuck Off! by 'Hard Boyling Boys' ***
Bad Points
----------
Fake production (fake group - no balls)
Bad vibes and party spirit
Backwards looking - is it still 1989?
No effects
No techniques
No optimisations (none needed really)
Unwitty/unfunny text, even the C64 guys didn't laugh much
Pointless statements -
ST demosceners care not about the gay bee, applications
(no-one uses Degas anyway) nor midi ports. Not now, not ever.
Good points
-----------
Quite nice design
Good quality MOD music
*** RARE by TUC ***
Good Points
-----------
Good vibes and party spirit
Original and amusing 'Fruit Machine' intro.
Rare effect (1 pixel vertical/horizontal dist)
Quite optimized code (since it's pure 68000 effect)
Not bad design and sync
Original maxYMizer music by Alchemist
Bad Points
----------
Could do with more parts and better endpart
Artist design would have been better then coder design
Music wasn't able to have SID effects due to CPU restrictions
So you see Amiga drones, even allowing for the subjective nature of demo voting it's clear 'Fuck Off!' should have come behind RARE and really should have come last.
Also it should be pointed out that Alchemist was *invited* to BFP (well actually to LCP but they merged) so we weren't even gate-crashing a 'Commodore' party, besides it says Atari supported on the BFP website.
Yes Hollowman the truth does hurt, this is going to hurt a lot ;-)

- Utter shite fake production (fake group). Will be making another comment later once I've uploaded RARE by TUC.

- The music was pretty good, though sound on Steem on my laptop isn't that good.

- The only thing that beats this is POSH. Amazing code, do not even comprehend how these effects can be done on the ST!
