- Elicits hypnosis more than the thalassophobia the text suggests at the end. Then again, complaining about that would be complaining about two words at the end of a wonderful experience. I actually like it that it goes into an entirely different place than the aforementioned Ballet Dancer.

- We opted not to show this on Twitch out of fear of getting a content strike. It might have not caused a fuss, since Twitch allows Wolfenstein too, but with our corporate lords and masters, it doesn't hurt to be prudent.
Still, to be fair, at least with the swastika there are places in the world where it means something other than far right politics, which is more than you can say about our Minister of Finance.

- Technical flaws are flaws, and albeit understandable in a world of deadlines, should probably be patched out of a post-party release. Aesthetic preferences are subjective, and this demo certainly has its share of aesthetic choices that are appealing or make sense only in a very specific context.
However, going on about "no attention to detail" here only betrays a complete lack of understanding of that context. I like the term "Färjanverse" that Waffle just coined, and in the Färjanverse, things like the Sun casting a shadow have always been very much par for the course.
Good point on "it's just for fun" not being much of a justification for anything, though, since it's a pretty big gamble to make and release a demo and expect any part of it to be fun. - rulezadded on the 2023-08-28 06:02:12

- That sums up Nextempire's legacy pretty well. Make a 4k that most likely consists entirely of stolen 256bs, release it at an Easter party, and no one even notices until 20 years later, because by now, your standards are so low that this doesn't even register as lame enough to get angry about - this is just what you do.

- Excellent soundtrack. Great effects - I don't have enough insight into 68k/OCS/ECS coding to really appraise them, but I can tell whatever is going on is impressive. Design-wise, it's a effect show with a scrolltext, but it's stylistically coherent enough to lift it above most effect shows. Salute!
