.... specifically the snare drum? I don't know the 1st thing about sound, but saw the Max/MSP seminar from Revision, and I was just watching a concert movie which sparked in me the creative urge to see if I could do something FUNKY, so it's got me wondering if it can be done :) I don't have Max or can get hold of one easily, so that's why the question about PureData instead which is preinstalled on my system with Ubuntu Studio.
