Nosfe's exhibition at tampere
category: offtopic [glöplog]
I'm having an exhibition at Art Center Mältinranta in Tampere until 13.9.2011
some paintings, photos and even a few wild demos and such shown there.
gallerys website
some pics from the exhibition
Really cool stuff you've got there. Good luck!
got mentioned in the local newspaper aamulehti today
here's a quick translation:
Pilvari "nosfe" Pirtola painting like it's the last day
Pilvari Pirtola paints with enthusiasm and completely without any restraints. Mältinranta gallery is full of mostly black and red paintingsv done with a harsh touch.
They bring to mind a scene from Kristian Smeds' play Jumala on kauneus: a painter Vilho ponds performing Fight Reima Luoto, ax chopping willful big slats from a log, and generates the museum work.
Vilho Lampi (1898-1936) was a Finnish Vincent, and to this drastic, immediate chain of artistic work turns now Pilvari Pirtola.
Ruthless grip continues as large and small jobs, acrylic paint, and sometimes the acrylic changes to the blood.
Mältinranta studio photographic and video works reflects the individual's pixelation in our turbid and overcrowded time.
also, the show has been mentioned at couple of blogs, nelliinan vaatehuone and nokkonen

Nosfe, will you have any expo in Turku (or in Tempere) in the mi-October?
Sim, I actually _will_ have an exhibition in Turku at Titanik-gallery, 23.9.-16.10. also, another one in Vantaa at Gjutars gallery 5.10.-23.10.
Are you coming to visit finland? If you need a place to stay in Helsinki just let me know.

Nosfe, GREAT NEWS!
Yes, I am going to visit Suomi between week 41 and 42. I will be shortly in Turku and later in other small cities +/- 50km away from that old capital. I will organise myself to visit your expo than! COOL!
About Helsinki - Thank you for your proposition, it's really great. This time most probably I will not be in Helsinki, but why not next time? =).

nosfe, let put it this way: I dont understand it.
are one supposed to?
Do you paint with your own blood?
las, no i buy the blood from the market, it's sold everywhere here in Finland since we have a traditional food that's pancakes made out of blood
Not a cheap diss and all, but that's just a reverse goth way of saying "I buy special ink" ;)

taking the "art critics talk about art; artists talk about football" angle, nosfe, does the above make any sense to you at all? Do you care about it?
skrebbel, actually yeah that does a lot sense
