Hello everyone. It is 2025 - and time again for the one and only Lovebyte!

Join us in a celebration of the small things, with a dedicated sizecoding demoparty / event, held on the weekend of 15-16th February 2025 on Discord and Twitch.

This year, our theme is Blind Date. All competitions entries will be shown without their creators' names, so get ready to admire the anonymous!

We'll have intro competitions in different size categories, from 32 bytes to 1024 bytes.
Alongside our Tiny Executable Graphics and Music competitions to Tiny Graphics or Graphics (covering both executable and text graphics) and Bytebeat Music competitions.
Have an 8 or 16 byte intro, or a nanogame to show? We've got a Wild Showcase for you!

We'll have size-coded related seminars to get you started, a Bytejam, Introshows, DJ Sets and other goodies.

We welcome everyone from newcomers to veterans and are open to all platforms. From oldschool Atari, Commodore, Amstrad & ZX Spectrum to High-end and Fantasy Console platforms.

This is the one event where size does matter! Don't miss it!

Good News everyone!

The Lovebyte party system is now open over at https://wuhu.lovebyte.party/! You can login with your SceneID by clicking the SceneID logo.

You can now start to submit your entries for Lovebyte 2025 - Blind Date.
Please do not forget to also upload a (linked) video capture (mp4 prefered) of your entry along with the actual binary or as multiple uploads. As the name already suggests, please note that ALL ENTRIES WILL BE SHOWN ANONYMOUSLY in the compo presentations, so authors will not be known until the results are in.

And for the newcomers out there, we have made a video that explains it all in detail.

For anyone that has enjoyed this year’s Tiny Code Christmas or is just starting in the Demoscene: Lovebyte 2025: Blind Date will have another New Talent competition.

This is a dedicated beginner/newcomer competition that is open to anyone who hasn't ranked top-3 at a bigger party yet. It is a great way to start participating in the demoscene. Just make a 256 byte intro for any platform you like!

There will be an online Jam with three anonymous ZX Spectrum Jammers joining at Lovebyte 2025.

The event will last about an hour, offering a unique, nostalgic audio experience. The participants will be using Bazematic, a browser-based ZX Spectrum live-coding environment.

The anonymity of the jammers adds an element of mystery, allowing the focus to be purely on the creativity and skill displayed. In just one hour, these three ZX Spectrum maestros will showcase some of the best visual effects, proving that even vintage technology can continue to inspire and entertain.

We have prepared a special DJ set that is constructed of DJ-Sets we had in the past. Can you guess who is playing?
