# Hunter
### What is Hunter?
**Hunter** is a tool developed by Bodo/Rabenauge designed to explore and manipulate the CRTC registers of Commodore PET 8xxx models.
The current version, **Hunter80**, was instrumental in the research and development of **Mode2**,
a display mode that introduces 3 distinct shades of green for enhanced visuals.

This is a quick and experimental release of **Hunter80**,
and more refined versions may come if time allows.
### Warning
Hunter gives you the power to modify all CRTC registers,
which means you could create unstable or even dangerous screen settings.
Proceed with caution, and use it at your own risk.
I take no responsibility for any unintended consequences.
### Future Plans
A **Hunter40** version for Commodore PET 4xxx models is planned for the future,
along with a potential C128 version.
