presents an intro called "Venus + Lucas = TRUE!" in November 1994
      -----------------------------------------------------------------

-=*> Introduction <*=-

Here's the second intro/demo, and overall fourth release, from a group called
Subsystem. We hope that you'll like our work. This textfile contains all kinds
of information about this intro and about us.

-=*> System requirements/recommendations/memory handlers <*=-

This intro REQUIRES a computer system with a 386 processor or better, some
kind of VGA card, and about 1 MB of system RAM. We've done everything we could
to make this look good on slow machines, but we still RECOMMEND you to watch
it on a 486 at 33MHz (or faster) with a fast videocard. The speed of your com-
puter is especially important if you want to use a SB or PAS soundcard, as
those cards are technically inferior to GUS cards.
This intro will work with any type of memory handlers, such as EMM386 or QEMM
or similar.

-=*> Supported soundcards/autodetection of installed soundcards? <*=-

To hear the music in the intro, you need to own one of the following sound-
cards: GUS, SB 16, SB PRO, SB or PAS. If you don't, it's possible to watch the
intro in silence.
This intro doesn't try to autodetect what type of soundcard(s) you've got in-
stalled, as that doesn't work with some network cards. Instead, it looks for
the environment variable ULTRASND, which usually exist in systems with a GUS.
If the intro finds this variable, the necessary values for running the intro
with your GUS are preset, so you'll just have to select GUS in the first menu,
and then just press ENTER in the second and third. The format of the ULTRASND
environment variable should be like this: 220,1,1,11,3

-=> Problems while watching the intro in silence <=-

If you don't know what to select after "No sound", try either:
(A) IRQ #4 and port 3F8 hex, or
(B) IRQ #3 and port 2F8 hex.
If you choose to watch the intro in silence, and you've got a mouse driver in-
stalled, things can go wrong. If this happens, just try switching off the
mouse driver and start the intro again.

-=*> Our previous releases <*=-

Before this one, Subsystem did release the following productions:
1) "Preview of suggestion", PREV_O_S.ARJ, 270125 bytes, 1 September 1994
A two-part demo preview with no music.
2) "Rivers of suggestion", RIVERSOS.ARJ, 620434 bytes, 9 October 1994
Our first demo, featuring gouraud-shaded fire vectors. Music support for
GUS, SB 16, SB PRO, SB, PAS or silence.
3) "Fonkey one", TDM_FONK.LZH, 137204 bytes, 11 October 1994
A four-channel music module composed by TDM.

-=*> The background of Subsystem <*=-

The individuals that are in Subsystem now started making demos on the Commo-
dore 64 in the late 80's. They did lots of C64-demos for some famous groups on
that machine, then made some work on the Amiga without releasing it, and then
in 1994 this PC-group was born.
