We wish to send out a "CODE 187" to all in the scene. During the last few
years the swedish scene has transformed to something where demos and intros,
the lifeblood of the demo scene, are treated as something bad. If one would
for instance upload a demo or an intro which isn't from a competition, it would
be nuked in minutes! What has this lead to ? Noone releases anything because
the work isn't spread enough, and the only times when a demo/intro is spread
is from a competition. We're not picking on traders/sysops, this is just
a reminder that WE (demo people) EXIST TOO, DO NOT FORGET THAT! All we
ask from you is to have our stuff spread as well, and not simply ignored.
We don't want to be misunderstood for these comments, we're just sick
and tired about releasing stuff that isn't spread at all. We (SSP) are not
the only one with these views, a lot of demo people in the swedish scene think
the same as we do.
In the old swedish scene it was fun releasing something new and fresh because
(almost) everyone enjoyed the productions. But now, when demos just get
nuked for what they are, demos, it's simply not as fun anymore. In the old
times, friendship was highly rated. Back then the old swedish scene was one
of the best. Now we think more friendship is needed between "the modem scene"
and "the demo scene". Or is a REAL "CODE 187" needed? Are we too late? Is the
scene already dead and can't be brought back to life again? We hope not.

Requirements: Any AGA machine with a 020+ and 2 mb chipmem
Recommended: 030/40 or better with at least 2 mb fastmem (ie a1200+
or better)
It will probably run under a standard A1200, but that is NOT recommended. :)

worldwide as long this textfile is included. It may also be included
on demo compilations, ie cd's, but we would appreciate some notice
about such an event.
MEMBERS
=========
Today SSP consists of eight members:
5 coders, 1 musician, 1 graphics artist and one sysop.
But we are looking for more people, especially musicians and graphics artists.
We are a pure demo group, and do not want any traders. We do have a bbs
but it is only a hq for us Sunshine Productions members. In the near future
there might be some games released under the Sunshine label.
