BBS │ │ │ │ advertisements however may be added. The original files are: │ │ │ │ │ │ │ │ FYVUSH.EXE ..the intro file │ │ │ │ INPHO.TXT ..this infofile │ │ │ │ JAMMDIST.LST ..a full list of Jamm distribution sites│ │ │ │ FILE_ID.DIZ ..the BBS file description │ │ │ └───────────────────────────────────────────────────────────────────────┘ │ │ │ │ ┌───────────── HARDWARE REQUIREMENTS: ──────────────────────────────────┐ │ │ │ an 386 machine, 100% compatible VGA card (rather fast). GUS optional │ │ │ │ (but that doesn't mean you shouldn't purchase!). About 550 kilos of │ │ │ │ conventional memory. (GUS:256kb) │ │ │ └───────────────────────────────────────────────────────────────────────┘ │ │ │ │ ┌─────────────────── CREDIZ: ─────────────────────────┐ │ │ │ Hell raiser cube: RUBBER SQUARE │ │ │ │ All other code: GALVADOS │ │ │ │ Graphics: CRIMAN │ │ │ │ Music: MORDICUS │ │ │ │ Design: CRIMAN │ │ │ └─────────────────────────────────────────────────────┘ │ │ │ │ ┌───────── SOME WORDS ABOUT THIS INTRO: ──────────────────────────────────┐ │ │ │ This thingy is fully coded in assembler, how else. The tune was made │ │ │ │ in ProTracker For GUS 0.85 and all piccys are drawn with Deluxe Paint │ │ │ │ 2.0 enhanched. │ │ │ │ This is practically the first product that we really gave our best to. │ │ │ │ As before, we made the whole thing to look nice on 386/40Mhz even it │ │ │ │ doesn't run 60 frames/sec all the time with this setup. However, it │ │ │ │ still should look quite smooth. On machines slower than 386/40Mhz most │ │ │ │ of the effects will look pretty awful. Especially if the VGA is a slow │ │ │ │ one. If you don't have GUS, bad luck. │ │ │ └─────────────────────────────────────────────────────────────────────────┘ │ │ │ │ ┌───────── CODERS' COMMENTS: ─────────────────────────────────────────────┐ │ │ │ Galvados: I'd really like to thank Rubber Square for doing so many │ │ │ │ wonderful things for the intro, like playing Master of Orion │ │ │ │ and Slicks, sleeping, coding everything that is NOT related │ │ │ │ to this product. Thanks, I couldn't have made it without you! │ │ │ │ Raster interrupt is only used in the hellraiser cube, so if │ │ │ │ your machine is slow, this intro will look like pure shit. │ │ │ │ The code demands a lot from your VGA too. If you have some cool card like Trident, this intro will look extremely shitty. One reason, is that when I have to clear the screen, I clear the whole screen, even if I only had to clear some parts of it. You may say, why such waste, but why not. It takes so little rastertime on ET4000 or similar. But with Trident, this whole screen clear takes quite a lot.. But hey! That's not my problem.. <grin> │ │ │ │ │ │ Rubber²: Emmää jaksa kirjottaa, ny mää meen pelaan Orionia. │ │ │ │ │ │ │ └─────────────────────────────────────────────────────────────────────────┘ │ │ │ │ ┌───────── ARTISTS' COMMENTS: ────────────────────────────────────────────┐ │ │ │ Mordicus: These info files really suck. I just made that annoying │ │ │ │ chippie, which was my part in this intro. (Pascallako │ │ │ │ istutte, kun infoi luette?) I hope that this tune is not too │ │ │ │ heavy (for U jury). │ │ │ │ │ │ │ │ Criman: As I finally got to make the design all by my self, I hope │ │ │ │ you find it smooth. The Hellraiser cube faces might not be │ │ │ │ exactly identical with the original piece but it is the best │ │ │ │ I could do with the kind of film quality I had available :(. │ │ │ │ BTW. Among the screen design I planned more than half of the │ │ │ │ effects. Rubber² could've done a lot more to this product │ │ │ │ than he did. │ │ │ │ │ │ │ └─────────────────────────────────────────────────────────────────────────┘ │ │ │ │ ┌───────── ANY PROBLEMS RUNNING ?????????: ───────────────────────────────┐ │ │ │ If you have the required amount of free memory and an sufficient piece │ │ │ │ of hardware and the product still hangs up or doesn't work properly, │ │ │ │ try to run it with the minimum configuration. If │ │ │ │ it still wont work, the error is propably on the machine. If you think │ │ │ │ it isn't, the best you can do is to tell us what the problem is and │ │ │ │ who knows, we just might be able to fix it. │ │ │ └─────────────────────────────────────────────────────────────────────────┘ │ └─────────────────────────────────────────────────────────────────────────────┘ The following part of this file is updated 2.8 1994. ┌────────────────────═════════════ JAMM ═════════════─────────────────────────┐ │ │ │ ┌─────── MEMBERS: ─────────────────────────────────────────────┐ │ │ │ Jamm currently has the following members: │ │ │ │ GALVADOS Janne Hellsten code │ │ │ │ RUBBER SQUARE Atte Kotiranta code │ │ │ │ CRIMAN Sami Nieminen graphics/design │ │ │ │ MORDICUS Mikko Tanni music │ │ │ └──────────────────────────────────────────────────────────────┘ │ │ We aren't particulary looking for new members of any kind, but if you think │ │ that you extremely talented, you might as well go for it. │ │ │ │ ┌────── GREETINGS: ─────────────────────────────────────────────┐ │ │ │ The members of Jamm would like to greet the following groups: │ │ │ │ Jeskola!
