║ Well, there we are. The Gamer's Edge is a new type of Game's e-mag. ║
║ We are hoping that the new aproach we are going to take on this will be ║
║ helpfull to you all. In short what we will do is release a monthly mag ║
║ that will have games reviews, technology articles, previews, ║
║ Consoles, and maybe a few extras other than that. If you have any ║
║ questions about how this will be done, stop by #tge on Efnet, or email ║
║ [email protected]. ║

║ If you are interested in helping us, please contact a founder or ║
║ senior. We still have writer positions open, we also are in need ║
║ of more dedicated coders to assist our head coder as well as more VGA ║
║ artists. If you can help with any of these, please stop by and talk ║
║ with us. ║

║ TGE #5 has actually been released on schedule! From now on the mag ║
║ should continue to follow the one month issue promptly. The cover story ║
║ this issue has been dedicated to the new section "TGE-ONLINE" where ║
║ information and other goodies about online gaming will be available. We ║
║ also have another new section called "The Edge of Gaming" where current ║
║ gaming news will be available as well as release dates for upcoming games.║
║ This isn't all! TGE has also set up a new tcl bot (thanks to CoMpuACiD ║
║ and Dream) where you can find out a release date for a game based on the ║
║ game title or publisher. Conversely you can also look up a date and the ║
║ bot will tell you what games are due to be released that day. Drop by ║
║ #TGE to try out beta version 0.8 of the bot. It is a little slow right ║
║ now but we are working to speed it up. Don't forget to drop by. We ║
║ would also like to welcome Dream Machine as our new WHQ. Also, ║
║ congradulations to Grunger on his promotion! Please enjoy issue 5. ║

║ To come: TGE Issue #6 - The Best Games of '97! Next issue will recap ║
║ the best games of '97 just before Christmas hits and the new year begins. ║
║ We will also look at the top games of all time and hopefully include a ║
║ readers top 20 games of all time as long as you e-mail ME ║
║ ([email protected]) with your vote of your five favourite games and if ║
║ you wish, a breif explanation why you chose them. Please participate, it ║
║ will only take a couple minutes of your time and it is always interesting ║
