Ski.. or .. DEATH???? This ruled, gonna play this so hard!
this provided hours of entertainment at aulankorevision
The stolen sound effects are the icing on the cake. The Jill of the Jungle YEAH! sample made me crack up during the compo.
Pure fun!
i think Ken would be glad his engine was finally put to good use!
Really enjoyed it on screen!
DEATH!?!?
best skiing game & best skiing game soundtrack - adding multiplayer would be irresponsible
SKI AND DEATH!
This is one of the best games released this year. Doubt that anything can up this until 2050.

Good use of the engine (I assume), great humour and it looked fun on the stream!
very nice concept and tons of effort into level design shows. <3
Funny game!
crude fun for the whole family
🤷♂️

Instead this is done directly on top of Build engine and based on JFBuild codebase. The "game" portion is all custom and uses LUA scripting. This "game" is then linked against the engine "as-is" like Build licensees would have done in the 90s. Everything has been done under the original engine limitation specs and should work under DOS as well if you can get the lua stuff ported over. Even here you can enable the software 8bpp rendering but there may be some sprite Z glitching where mitigation would cost few extra hours of work. We may consider it if there is enough demand or people wish to port this elsewhere, I think JFs' engine has already been ported to like 10+ times by now.
A custom ART converter was done. Music is all Ken Silverman's KDM format... A custom module music implementation with all of it's limitations, only ever used in his test game afaik. All assets are in their native format and no port-specific improvements are in use aside from the polymost renderer (Which Ken also wrote in early 2000s).
Source release and Linux binary will soon follow...
Have fun :)
