finally i managed to upload a correct version to scene.org. the organizers uploaded our pre version wich was NOT shown during the competition and was replaced by a more convenient version. the archive now contains a compatible unpacked executable as well. look for sponge_party_compatible.zip at scene.org.

Quite stylish and it was quite demolike for a 4k.

this is just cubes, but very beautiful.

Hm, this more compatible version is atleast starting, but then only hd activity. After several minutes I have killed the task and my pagefile was 100 MB bigger than before. Aren't 256 MB enough?

Oh god I'm starting to hate these E.EXE intros:
- They don't work
- They use alot of memory and slows computer
- Many of them contains "virus" (not a real one but somekinda)

Gah the screenshots looks good, it's pitiful i cant watch this (and many other 4ks).

I don't know why exactly the com dropper does not work on some computers, sorry. In addition i will not stop using this trick since it saves some hundred bytes for the final intro. For all those where this version does not run, we include an unpacked version which is ofcourse bigger but should at least work.
Crest: we tested the production on about 20 computers with varying hardware and software configurations. Anyway we cannot guaratee that it will run on ALL possible machines out there. If you like you can drop me an email with details on your operating system and graphics board/drivers, and i'll see wheter i can make it work.

I was a bit out of it during the compo, but I seem to remember that this was my favourite.. cubes rock!

error in CRTDLL.DLL for the .exe
error in e.exe in GDI32.DLL:588 for the .com
(winme french, dx81fr)
