excellent graphics and design. very enjoyable

very nice nah-kolor demo =)
this rocked! The whole demo, design, graphics and music melted nice together, no new ideas but a very good result! Nice ending to this year...
spark laboratories rock! this is indeed more madwizards than nah-kolor demo :P
doesn't work on my radeon 8500 :(
really really good!! one of the very few demos that hasn't bored me lastely. good work!
very cool work. this is the framerate that madwizards-demos should run at :-D
wheres the "two thumb up button" :)
at last one really good demo with style and speed.... after a long time without good demos this is the silver flash at the horizon
NICE WORK DUDES!

waouw, I Love this prod!
holy shit! :D
Lengthy and well designed 3d-show. It just fails to excite or entertain me.
didn't run with athlon xp1800 + win2k + gf2mx + 28.32 detonators. requires more than gf2mx (the readme was somewhat vague on the requirements) ?
nope, it works on gf2. but you need 40.72 drivers...
The music is really crackly and noisy in the demo (WinXP, XP1800+, SBLive! 5.1, GF2GTS, det 40.72)... The ogg itself plays fine, perhaps the included fmod.dll is bugged?
But this is true MadWizards style... And nice smooth hires this time... Very good :)

blackspawn: read the readme file :-D
Rasmus, I read it, but I didn't think it'd hurt THAT much to try starting the demo anyway. ;)
sweet.
Some info: The bug seems to be in FMOD 3.5. When playing the .ogg with the standalone player, I get the same noise. In the new 3.61 player, it works fine. I can't replace the DLL because then the demo won't start. Please fix the demo to work with the new FMOD.
FLAPJACK/MADWIZARDS on keys. we are working on the patches right now. also for the Radeons.
Nice design, cool music, but i think most of the scenes have the same colorscheme and it`s abit plain.
same as blackspawn
everyone was catched by that Demos very nice visual design and awesome soundtrack. I like it much. :D
MEGAspark-designMACHINE
Achtung! I was told this demo EVEN WORK SON NVIDIA RIVA TNT.
please! just read 'readme' file :D everything is clear. you need new detonators and everything will be ok. about radeons. patch will be soon.
this is a great production!
amazing gfx by spark!
amazing gfx by spark!
sparque rox :)) the scenes are simple but are cool, the rest is more like haujobb style :)
but why does an opengl demo require drivers with dx9 support? (40.72)
but why does an opengl demo require drivers with dx9 support? (40.72)
payda: probably because there were also some driver-bugs that got fixed... and 40.72 don't seem to support dx9, they're just compatible with it.
Loved it. Every single piece owned me. Tnx :}
great release ! *respect*
great tune, great visual.
good work.
ps: need to install the detonator driver...
good work.
ps: need to install the detonator driver...
thanks sagacity for explaining :) never been up-to-date with the nvidia drivers :)
An amazing PC debut for Mawi! Hope to see many more demos like this in the future.
Ah, been waiting for Madwizards' first PC release after all their great Amiga PPC demos over the past year. A very good debut. I finally upgraded my Detonator drivers, just to watch it! Some 3D parts kinda remind me of FR/Neonray/Throb stuff (and Nah-Kolor stuff too, of course), but overall it's definitely in the MaWi style. Thanks for providing some post-Xmas quality that The Party could not provide.
No astonishing effects, no "how did they do that ?" scene, but you guys focused on design and really fucking managed to make something good looking !
design, design, design plus some more design
Nice piece of work! Works fast on AMD 1500+/GF2mx400/256MB/Win2k/40.72.
wtf? is demoscene still alive? go figure
mmm, nice
one of the best-designed pc demos this year. all thumbs up !!!
unfortunatly this demo refuses to run on my system. pity, i really like madwizards amiga stuff.
NOTE FROM MADWIZARDS: if for some reasons the demo doesn't work on your system, please report your hardware config / drivers set to [email protected], we will work on that! but, to clear it up once again. once you have gforce + 40.72 detonators it HAS to work!!! it might also run on some Rivas, but we take no responsibility. Take care!
some parts reminded me a lot of cncd - in a good way.
demo of the year? maybe but unfortunately it does not run on my machine...

YES
now this is a good demo...FOR ME TO LOOP ON.
pretty incoherent, but the individual parts themselves are *fresh*.
pretty incoherent, but the individual parts themselves are *fresh*.
the first few minutes are rather confused, but after then the demo manages to find its own style.
a bit incoherent, but rulez nonetheless. and nice to have some well-styled well-designed non-visualice releases for once :)

updating to 40.72 detonators helped, now the demo works on my setup, too.
and yes, this is really nice demo. on top of cool visuals i like especially the colors and synchronization with the keyframing. also the music fits this style pretty well.
only minus, as ryg and sagacity stated as well is the incoherence - but then again it's pretty common demos are incoherent so i don't mind. :)

Wow, totally amazing. At least a demo that is surprising and not boring at all. I love it ! Great balance between 2D, 3D gfx and design.
totally appealing in a way that doesn't leave much room for solid objective criticism
thx
Impossible to watch it... all 40.x (and +) nvidia drivers seems to test the screen max refreshrate and are unable to bypass this test...
I run my screen at a resolution that it's not made to handle (but it does).
I dont wanna have to bear a fixed 60Hz rate for a demo ;(
Well, i have a solution. Just do an DivX, so radeon users and more will be able to watch it;)
And please, if you could also do the "Till it's gone" capture, i think it would be cool.
thx

Excellent PC debut and a real worthy winner (could be a TP winner demo in better times)! Actually not running here. Maybe coz the old Detonator, but maybe also coz my TNT2.
simply stunning.. couldn't tear my eyes away from it.. great music, good effects, nice 3d, really long.. liked the fake ending too.. went beyond my expectations.. best of all is the design of the overlays and text, etc. which is even better than the best haujobb.. these people should be making big bucks working for a world-class design firm instead of giving the milk away for free.. but i'm glad they did :)
Nice visuals and design, code is adequate and music is ok. Plus a lot of content. However, it all feels somewhat derivative and, frankly, I had ZERO fun watching it.
Woa! I loved the music sweet brainfuck!
Very nice. Looks like a neat blend of haujobb and blasphemy demos, fairly little to be upset about.
that's about time you guys switched to pc.. those fast 3d accels *do* help, eh?.. 8))
this demo is packed with coolness to the very top, my only gripe is that some scenes are pretty lifeless and displayed for a teensy bit too long. other than that - a rock steady thumb up for you polish brothas 8))

bhead: I don't believen they have "switched" to PC, a group that loyal to amiga just don't abandon the machine like that.
As for the demo, one of my favorite Amiga groups + one of my favorite = well, you do the math. ;)

gah, we take that last sentence once more, now featuring all words.

Ah and BTW: Planet Loop seems to run only on few machines. Mawi is already working on a patch. I hope it will soon run on my Machine. have to see it again. :O
CAN SOMEONE JUST FIX THIS? instead of forcing me to install new drivers.
indeed,
i simply can't install any other drivers than 29.60 for my gf4go, other drivers fail to install, i need to wait for gericom to make new drivers, and i'm really not sure they'll adapt a new driver.

This is very nice guys . hope to meet you one day .
Superplek ; please kick yourself for me
Superplek ; please kick yourself for me
Just too cool, synchronized perfectly the scenes after the magnifine glass just ROX!!
daaamn! MADWIZARDS want to thank for all your feedback. can we have some more please? visit http://www.madwizards.org
i don't like the title - boring and idealess like all haujobb productions titles. really ;) think more next time. all scenes looks like from c64 - so less objects, nothing moves ;(
it's not our last word and we not leaved amiga for sure. we just went to console (pegasos) ;)
alkama - be patient - "till i feel you" divx will come quickly next year.
all - if you love us - visit/support our party this summer - www.symphony.scene.pl

azzaro, you seem to be in a bad mood :)
wow :)
Whaou ! Nice job. Run perfectly on P3-600/Ge256. Keep the spirit alive !
does it need any comments? it speaks for itself :)
Impressive design, but somehow it lacks of 'something' :S
Any questions and further feedback can be mail at [email protected]
you made me change my drivers you silly nasty stupid fuckers!
but at least, it's a very nice prod indeed!!!
but at least, it's a very nice prod indeed!!!
I love you for this release!
yeah...this demo rulez :) and, thx to them, i have new drivers :))
that was great. a little off at the start but it gets better as it goes on. good work
back from new year's eve parties? more feedback please:) we don't think there is ever going to be a version for older drivers than 40.72. it's pointless.
esp. as older drivers dont do dx9..
however.. about the demo itself..
its nicegfx and such.. but if i only wanted nice drawings and objects i could visit a museum.. and i hate museums

radeon 7500 gets an win2k program error before start
nelius: read the readme.txt as well as the whole forum here. the demo DOESN'T work with radeon, path is being developed. stefan: well, if that's your attitude, then okay. we care about the design however and that is the flavour and major sense of demomaking.
works flawlessly on my tbird 1400 with gf2mx400
i'll thumb it up, as soon as it works here :)
so visualice has started using a new nickname? :PPP
Good gfx and music but boring as hell.
1 - 1 = piggy
1 - 1 = piggy
boring? well, what is not boring then? ;)
what a stereotype for "scene design"!!! i only wish that one day more scene musicians will come to the conclusion that using mp3's provides some more headroom for production skills as well.
Great demo. Im a bit tired of this kind of music in demos. But i admit it work great with the visuals... pleease do a drum'n'bass remix of the subway scene ;D
Crashes on ati radeon 7500 as well as on my geForce3 ti 500 under winXP.
I haven't commented yet?? Strange, I could've swore I did.
Anyway, a nice demo.
Anyway, a nice demo.
ok, i updated my drivers and now i can tell the prod is ok ;)
nice overall, good design..
sorry for the thumb down above..

It's nice but as some others stated before it doesn't create a special athmosphere for me as well...
doesn't work.
on geforce3Ti200 under Win2k.
on geforce3Ti200 under Win2k.
I saw it on another computer and it was very, very good. Style is quite similiar to the Madwizards' Amiga PPC demos, even if the people are different.
Hm.
Nah-Kolor design, Nah-Kolor code, uglyish tune... Not nice, but good.

hoorah! very nice

one of the best demo last year. i'll thumb it up as soon as the bugs are fixed.
i have no problem with broken party versions as long as it gets fixed.

Very good design (except in some part of subways :) )
I think that MaWi will rule the PC scene.
But, please, don´t forget the Amiga, mates! :)

did also crash on amd1.7 512ram and gf4.... but worked on gf2.... atleast it isn't any shader or such stuff that makes it unrunnable on my radeon7500 mobility...just have to wail for patch..if ever :)
Too bad there's nothing really interesting (effect-wise) going on, since the design totally rocks. :-) Overall, very polished and commercial-looking :-)
This demo gives me a runtime error and crashes upon loading, on an ATI Radeon 9700 with Catalyst 3.0 drivers. Wish it worked on my card, oh well.
one of the rare demos i thumb-up without really liking it. cause its just too good judging objectively. too bad it doesnt work for me, leaves feeling of "something missing". also lacks originality but well, thats not what makes demo a good or bad one.
though i only seen it @ TUM, maybe i'll get into it checkin out again.
BRILLIANT demo(s) ... superb music
still waiting for the radeon patch...
Insane! Really good demo.. For me it's the best one since 1998.
Um, where's that radeon-patch?
Nice to see Madwizards on the PC. It's a big and very well designed demo, however I didn't enjoyed watching it..
ah, crap! it doesn't run on my radeon. fix it!
ATI Patch FINISHED! Will be available tommorow ( 2004-03-13 ).
then where the hell is it :)
it will be available yesterday :)
notice 2004
amazing!
i'm fan of Haujobb demos, so i love this one too.
design, whole concept, synchro, effects, industrial music - all is great.

OKAY LADIES AND GENTS, you may know leech the Radeon patched version from <a href="http://www.madwizards.org>WWW.MADWIZARDS.ORG</a>
Thanks! The patch works perfectly :)
Customer service: Patch here
this is nice, rather conventional though, but very well executed. very very nice coherent/solid graphics & has a sweet clicking soundtrack, very unusual in those "pop" demos à la visu/hjb..
The textures doesnt work on a Matrox Parhelia with latest drivers, they get 100% white. Some parts looks like a replay intro with high framerate.
the last part (before the greets) is one of the best things i have ever seen in a demo.
the rest is not bad either :)
the rest is not bad either :)
The patch works after installing the Detonator 42.70 drivers.
Just again: Great stuff, especially for such a small party!
Just again: Great stuff, especially for such a small party!
Some very cool individual scenes/fx, somewhat good synchro and a nicely soothing colorscheme. Music could be better tho...
looks like a solid product to me.
How nice to be finally able to watch this on my poor Radeon.. As for the demo, I liked it. Some parts were a bit too flybyish for my taste, but it never got boring and the numedia dizain works. I even liked the music, except for the first part which was a bit dull. Good work!
I give this a 'penis up' !
Yeah, Rules :) Also a product i love :)
Mad Wizards rocks :)
Mad Wizards rocks :)
Cool Demo! But at my 1800 athlon, Radeon 9000, 256 ddr, nvidia2 mother-chip second pauses after some scenes......
Good concept, cool graphics !
i watch this demo on gf2 and this is not paused.
icon with running trolley not animated. and white, blue, yellow icons in second part too.....

i love it! very nice music and design. one of the best prod i've seen for a few couple of months...
Almost 7 minutes of smooth and stylish scenes. Rules bigtime
Nice and fluent, as all the mwi prods that I've been able to watch
One of the best demos of 2003. Another polish big hit to smelly PC 3D fly-by scene ass !!!
a loads of white screens with not much inbetween.. either this is awful or just didn`t work correctly on my machine :)
Good collaboration! More PC stuff from mawi perhaps? Or am I hoping too much? Good work anyway, had no problems running it (except on shitty intel gfx chip, I think it ran out of ram, half the textures disappeared :)
Let's see, nice models behind layers of well designed textures and nice colors, but no effects, and the music was OKish. I can see it's a design-demo, but it needs more than just that.
stylish 3d, nice music, atmosphere. i like it.
does someone have the radeon patch available? seems like madwizards decided to demolish their website and scene.org has only the party version.
that design is wonderful
we want more!
the patch is currently sitting in the scene.org incoming, waiting to be transferred to the pub.
yes! it's f cool! great thanks for the patch!
An excellent production!
it is a good 1! Jez showed it me on his computor it doesnt work on my computor. I have used win zip to put it all on C drive but I click it and it doesnt run nor it doesnt show in start menu.
The graphics are nice. But the code is a bit too ordinary for my tastes, there are a few good ideas, but we want to see the earth tremble! :-)
Definitely one of the better productions - during these times tough, but still we need that little something extra.

porky, in order to be a fulltime dalezy you gotta start writing in lowercaps only.
I'm sorry to say that, BUT i can't watch it. The version from here does abnormal program termination. The download at madwizards.org is broken. The patch link from here is broken as well.
I'm running a GeForce-FX5200 with the latest official drivers from a week ago or so.

Madre de cristo bendito! mencanta ;)
great!!! best pc demo i`ve ever seen :)
i think it's just something like NAH-KOLOR (95% of totsl work) demo released under wings of MADWIZARDS (5% - flapjack's end song, that is xtd's cover btw).
but it's good, really good. massive soundtrack is amazing. one of the best polish pc demos.

i've just made a on mistake. writing about flapjack's stuff i had "heavy traffic" on my mind... sorry.
so "planet loop" is 100% NAH demo then... =)
so "planet loop" is 100% NAH demo then... =)
Some1 just felt like adding mawi name to it than Kempy :) Wait for our new nAh PC demo's this year!
Hyvä, hyvä, hyvä!
Planet loop should be taught at art schools and universities. Maybe the most underrated production ever. All thumbs up !
Nice comment Navis.. Thanx..
total ownage!
great colors, excellent design
wow
I would like to correct common misunderstanding that the so-called "patch" is the right version for everyone. It is the release for older (pre geforce) or non-nvidia gfx cards. Users of geforce or later nvidia hardware should run party version which is definitive in terms of features.
jop
i would like to state once more how sweet this demo is. :)
damn, awesome prod!
great desing and color schemes
and imho the music fits perfectly the atmosphere, so no problem it's a bit weird
so again: it's kickass good one :)

I was wondering is there a .avi version of this demo available? I saw it on www.deomscene.tv for example..
why they are not doing more?! :/
Yeah, they should do more ..
good but not taking me away
Nah Kolor + Madwizards could rule the PC scene. I wish Mawi would give up on the PPC. It's no good!
it looks nice, but i find it rather boring.
We (nah-kolor) without mawi but with another scenegroup have a new scene jewel coming soon! (abstract'04)
Spin around and around.. In the ...... :)
Time will tell.. Wait and see!

Kign!
Design-wise, this demo stands out on top, with esthetically pleasing visuals.
nice :)
Those colours and visuals bring over an high interesting Retro/JulesVerne-Touch.
The whole production is very well in synch (ja, das hab sogar ich gemerkt, danke:) ).
Only the musical score makes a static feeling, what isn't bad in any way, just melodic ones are more my taste. Very interesting btw is to watch this production with Planet-Loop vice versa.
I like them both. Rulerz.

love that 2d gfx.
nice of course, but i found most parts a bit boring; i prefer 'fluffy digital snowflakes' over this...
Nice. Works like a charm with the patch.
good pace - good visuals - might be boring to some, but style is what it's about - and it's impressive and it makes a point to stay cool thoughout the entire show
Awesome demo.
My favorite NahKolor Demo!
no ATi support..?
MaWi!
Rules!
GaiaSword: click on disk 2 link for patch!
I like the visual cohesiveness but the effects are something I'd expect to see on TV. Also, the music fails to impress me and that's really what finally strikes it down to mediocrity.
buuuuu, crashed !!!
I cant run it here anymore as well, crashed at the beginning. I still remember when i first have seen it tho, amazing.
Fantastic demo! \o/ The patch is here. Great everything - wonderful soundtrack especially.
Very Interesting! :)
hmmm yeah it's ok, despite the polish colour scheme
Thenks for the patch, Gargaj.
Wow. really cool.

yah...
So good!
Use the patch if it crashes..
To be honest, I don't really like this demo. Stylistically it looks like a Sunflower ripoff and the scenes aren't really interesting or have a concept (or then I don't get it).
It looks nice, but..

works fine with the patch and i like it overall, there are a few weak effects but it seems to flow nicely
so i will give a thumb (that i previously forgot :P )
great stuff! (i'm late, i know)
don't you think it is a bit too long?
ploop
Abit too long for what's actually shown...
bardzoTajne ;-)
great colors

This prod is like a good wine.
Over the years, it always look so pretty, and got a charming vintage touch.

bump!
Graphical masterpiece, but I dont like the music.
epic
Azzaro: but why did they add the mawi name? :)
Tune and style <3
affirmative.
i wonder how much cuties like this are still hidden and unknown to me in the pwet database.
instantly gets in my top 256 prods charts.

I simply love the typical nuschool design from around the millenium!
This demo looks and sounds gorgeus even 9 Years after it's release!

nice, decent tune and very stylish visuals. smooth as hell.
classic style from this era :)
Loved it back then and still like it. Perfect syncro between audio and visuals. Actually everything is cool.
Soooo sweet and timeless except pop title.
Still a great show.
if i look up "layerdemo" in the demopedia theres a screenshot of this one.
instant up.
kickass transitions and timing
Holds together very well after 10+ years! A few numedia design cliches, but a good variety of parts with consistent color schemes, and more entertaining, if not as artistic, than Haujobb/Visualice demos of the time. My thumb up from 2002 stands.
liked the 1st part pretty much. after that it was so-so. but anyway.
Absolutely amazing. Very dynamic, with a great score, and matching gfx!
Have never seen it before, thus I can say it really ages very well..
Have never seen it before, thus I can say it really ages very well..
fuck yes ♥ is this really 13 years old?
Nice visuals!
Looking good even in 2015, great work.
One of the better pre-shader era demos, really nice soundtrack too.
Good
Still awesome.
lovely
still much awesome like Saga Musix said
Still pleasant and relaxing. Nice to watch and listen after these all years. Great production!
that is really awesome! perfect modeling/music/gfx and overall 0x7d2 mood :)
fixed function
Still holds up so many years after. Music is ACE!
sick tune
