In order to load this demo:
- head over to https://tic.computer/create
- download the latest executable for your platform (demo isn't optimized for the browser version)
- fire up the executable, add the .tic file and LOAD/RUN or SURF it

Browser version is also provided but as of now it doesn't run as smooth compared to the standalone executables :D

Wow, I don't know anything about this platform, but that's really cool!

The thumb is not only for the timely title, I love the music, effects and mood
Really good! The music is mesmerizing and beautiful. Greetings to BotB :)

Bloody awesome, why didn't you wait a few days and submit it to Revision?

I wonder, what are the technical differences between this and the PICO-8?

That was like a great game intro, lovely. Interresting platform, it seems it can "chase the beam" so it's possible to get more than expected, pretty cool.

Ah, looks like it's been in another kind of compo instead. Nevermind my remark about Revision then.

Nice toy computer show! I ran it on an Iphone and it was smooth. But sound was missing

lovely, well designed

This is incredibly good. Someone's been playing a bunch of JRPGs, I think? :)

I'm also interested in the specifics compared to PICO-8, particularly the virtual CPU cycle limit and the amount of memory space for variables since I can't find any info about those details.

I have no idea about this new platform but your demo is simply beautiful.
Well done!

Really good! Nice use of the tic 80's resources, the map buffer for the trees and landscapes especially. Also using your own sound/music stuff is great, my main annoyance with the tic is the built in tracker/synth.

tic-80 doesn't actually enforce any sort of virtual CPU cycle limits or space for variables, so you can go as crazy as you want with it. for instance, there's a fair amount of 3d stuff on the site that is far more advanced than the faux 3d stuff we were pushing here

with that said, we decided to work within the softer limitations of what the browser version could run on a reasonably good machine, and to create a plausibly "retro" demo, so i decided to stick with relatively simple (and performant!) mode7 style effects and similar things.

amazing work of art. i really don't give a shit about those fake platforms, but this would be great on any other platform as well.

super nice! no idea of what the platform is capable of, but it's already nice as it is. great atmosphere and pixel art and clever switching between (fake) 3d effects and 2d stuff
