extremely beautiful! my favojrite from the compo!
3rd place. WTF! Really great one! Best of Compo imho.
Nice Caero homage. :)
this was so lovely!
Cute!
beautiful music and relaxing visuals
great 8k!
a thing of beauty!
Pure beauty!
Loved this! Should have ranked higher in my opinion.
A nice idea, gorgeously executed. Music reminds me somewhat of Super Mario 64's "Dire Dire Docks" ;)
This one won the compo. srsly.
Ok, this is the best noby&fizzer co-op thus far. It's also one of the only 8k's that feel like a real 8k besides that loonies prod. we all have seen already. Especially the ending, even if you could kinda see it coming, was worth the wait.
With the wait, I mean the precalc.

I like it - and nice sound!
The particles and dof(?) in the fish swarm and in a few other places does become a bit confusing for me eyes though.
A really nice ending!

Incredible work! ❤️ Baffled it only got third tbh.
the star constelation thing felt a bit forced. but the particles looked awesome and the sound is fucking noby
My favorite one of you guys so far. Great idea for the visuals and great music! (Mario64 wtf!) <3
Oh yes! I love it when mollusc sheds its shell. Good music and great work overall.
Best of the compo.
Everything, but especially the music!
and
I liked this one a lot! Very good job in competing against 64k's
beautiful.
best 8K I've seen.
best 8K I've seen.
8K? great!
oh, beautiful :)
Beauty, esp. the music and it's calm parts (not that it was too fast paced anywhere)
Very enjoyable !!!
long precalc is very long and of course this runs slow as fuck on my 1060 (read: 12-16fps), but hey its the most beautieful thing i ever saw in this category. makes me wonder where a little more bytes and optimization/coherence could carry it.
Awesome, guys, congrats on your well-deserved vict...
...Oh fuck you, Evoke. Fuck you in your useless eyesockets. :|
Anyway, this might not be everyone's cup of tea, but it sure hits all the right marks. It's gorgeous, technically sound, poetic, and paced well. All in 8k. I loved it! I'd rewatch it again and again and show to my friends. None of the other prods managed to do so well being four to eight times the size. What a crying shame!
By the way, I expected the nautilus and other sea inhabitants to turn into some kind of constellations at the end, but the odd angular doodle things left me confused. Please explain. :) Was that due to the lack of... space? (Shit, I swear that was unintentional.) The music also felt very reminiscent of Dropletia which, curiously, also was released at Evoke. Same instruments, I suppose? Or was it a deliberate development of that general idea?

Sweet. Apparently one of the guys from that band is Hiroyuki Nanba, whose Armitage III soundtrack was one of my go-to examples of solid anime music for a good while, along with (the more obvious but no less talented) Yoko Kanno and Kenji Kawai. I'll give it a listen or two, thanks. :)
As for this track in particular, the only part I found possibly a bit odd is the sequence at 2:26. It's a bit drier than the rest... or something like that, hard to explain since I suck at music theory. Makes it fall out of the composition a bit for me. The rest is great though.

@fizzer Oh, makes sense. GJ!
very nice
Love the vibe, the ambience, the visuals and the sounds.
what moozooh said: fuck you evoke. this is way better than both 64ks together. (you really forgot to add voice samples to your track, noby! ;p)
no more left to say.

Very lovely <3 Best of compo imho. Runs flawlessly and stutterfree with my AMD Vega 56.
Great visual, and great music!
beauty
though it would be ranked higher, very high quality in this one.
nice
OK, now I finally have enough glöps to give you my cdc for this impressive, imo your best production and imo also the best production of Evoke 2018. there is really a lot of love here. Especially for an 8k with a huge amount of content and as complete as a full fledged demo.
(And again: I really wish you won the compo)

awesome as always! really enjoyed this one on the stream - an unusual and beautiful demo ❤️
if ASD made 8k-s :)
Delightful. Has to be run in realtime for the best experience. Worth every second of precalc. :)
magic!
Underwater life is rad even in space!
im loving it!!!!
Awesome! Just too bad there was no 8k compo - it would have definitely won.
Awesome, like it a lot!
Nice one!
really nice.. and a couple of extra thumbs up for the "dire dire docks" style music :)
really beautiful
Nice 8k and music reminds me of Dire Dire Docks
Please include a readme to tell your audience if the precalc runs like forever. :)
Of course it's very good. The music reminds me of Super Mario 64.
Fantastic 8k!
Nice
Great!
Really nice and sophisticated for 8k.
Music is indeed "inspired by" but more important than this, it sets the mood perfectly.
