Effects are fun and varied, and the music is good. The pixel art itself it very enjoyable but most of the color choices are really not working for me at all.

Some interesting stuff here, probably more so for the platform itself.

Wasn't a fan of the direction/pacing, but the effects and music here are ace!

I quite like this one, very smooth effects, cool 3d for the platform, enough parts and Gnork!

Overall really good but design-wise it misses that special flow sometimes.

Thanks for the feedback.

Sorry for screwing the aspect ratio and the colors defined while recording. I was too tired and upset presenting and Inthoyhjt we need to tune the colors as white was not white. ;)

Lead to saturation 100% and me signed it of
For broadcast.

The screenshots and video is more accurate to the real thing.

I did it better with Dunno our 4k.

Again lesson learned ;)
Enjoyed it, not least the Gnork pics :) Was funny and lots of good effects for the hardware.

One of the most memorable prods on Revision 2018; ruled mercilessly...
My preferred part: the fractal terrain. Loren Carpenter would be proud!
rulez added on the 2018-04-13 00:52:44 by peskanov peskanov
@Peskanov

Yeah. Somebody at least recognised the fractals. its calced in realtime including perspective. it was my attempt using c64 tech so called "dirtychar" here, too. so dynamicly assignes chars and EOR fills with chars. so i guess complete unrolled code and precalced would make it faster.

btw. when you look more closer you see that the surface is changing as I set randomly the so called "nodes".

the algo is based on Carpenter's PDFs he presented at SIGRAF et al. in 80s.

it has the same "L" artefacts like Rescue on Fractalus, Koronis Rift and Ballblazer intro on Amiga.
Vic 20 conquered.. time to go even more back in time next!
cool demo!
