Just amazing and way above the typical random light painting stuff. The screen at the end suggests that it was not a one-man show though?

One of the most refined animations ever released in a demoscene context.

(Also yes, judging on Takeshi's statements at the party it took a fuckton of helping hands and about three years of production time to get it done.)

I'm not 100% sure if a wild compo was the original intended target for this given the endslate, but god damn if it's not a massive piece of work.

After 27 years, I rarely have "OH SHIT" moments in a demoscene context anymore. The last time was after I clicked the link to this production in Takeshi's e-mail to answer his question if this would be allowed in the compos at Outline. Needless to say that of course we allowed it without the slightest doubt, and we hope to see many more TOCHKA productions in the future :-)

Wouldn't have thought I'd ever again be surprised or impressed by any light painting. Superb example of how not to get caught by the curiosities of a technique, but use it so that it becomes transparent to the viewer (seems to plague most things done with light painting). Also how come prods of Japanese origin always seem to have such excellent music... I hope everyone was taking notes.

Light-painting is hard and it's absolutely amazing what they pulled off here. One of best wild demos I've ever seen !

So very excellent! I like how you and your tools are adding to the background of the show.

Absolutely amazing work. The music is in the same league as the Penguin Cafe Orchestra. Thank you very much for making this.
