fUJi...

This demo features an Atari ST YM sound chip emulation (including
sid voice, digidrums and buzzer support) for C64...

For those not having the real machine, you can try Vice emulator.
The demo works best with 6581 Sid. Some songs are using digidrums.
You can change which Sid is used in the Sid settings of Vice.

If you try to run on real hardware with the 8580 Sid do not wonder
if you do not hear alot of the digidrums. You can add a hardware
fix (quite easy to install search for digi boost) to make them
hearable.

Have a look to the info-file for more technical informations about
the YM emulation.

The Demo contains 4 disk of our fav. Atari ST songs. Btw the demo
has a playlist feature and plays automatically all songs in row...

Have fun ;)

Saw 4mat posting several WIP versions of the YM emulator on fecesbook weeks ago and was already impressed. Really nice code now used in a well made demo/music disk. Really nice intro and the interface is nice too. Good job! :)

Very nice.
Little issues on some of the songs, but globally impressive for sure :)

Wow, congrats! Saw a preview a while ago.. Very nice emulation, particularly "Atari SID" and buzzer surely wasn't easy to get these instable characteristics adequate (which I never considered a feature, but well, they actually are). It's interesting to spot the general fattiness or warmth from SID when the ears are used to the harsh ST sound.
Intro and presentation also smooth, but what to expect else from you guys.

I caught 4mat posting a WIP of this on twitter some weeks/months ago and it definitely sounded fantastic. The finished product looks (and sounds) great too.

It lacks the punch of the AY in some aspects (buzz, samples) but it's still a worthy big-demo replacement on the C64. ;-)

btw, how crazy is it that I'm listening to some of my favourite Atari ST songs, packed in a C64 musicdisk, running on a PC emulator :D

I'm sure it's some sort of blasphemy to create something like this. Looks and sounds really neat.

So in 1987 TEX released a few demos with SID-tunes. 30 years later this arrives with some smashing YM-tunes. Closing the circle.
Just great!
