Hm...I'm no DOS/x86 expert, so may be a question for a thread, but I test my prods with midi sound always on my Athlon Win XP laptop and they run fine with a noname onboard soundcard...you just need to see if the timing fits as I (mis)use the vsync...but I see that e.g. Hellmood is using a "real" time trigger which should fix that...
But then, who uses an onboard soundcard to run a compo nowadays? Standards are a bit higher. Granted, perhaps re-cabling for the 256b compo is possible, but most compos run off some USB soundcard nowadays because it brings better quality.

I don't like the colors, but music in 256b is not standard thing (yet). Thumb up!
