The partyversion has a bug, it will display random garbage as the mouse pointer sprite. I didn't notice it until after having submitted. Maybe I'll fix it some day.

Greetings!

Nothing a "move.w #1<<5,$dff096" couldn't fix. :D

As for the demo, funny music but not much more to write home about.

StingRay: This one is made in C, trying to be "system-friendly". I had already done some pure asm stuff with AsmOne (following Photon's tutorials somewhat), and this time I wanted to see how it should be done in C, trying to folllow Commodore's manuals. I'm doing MrgCop() and that sort of stuff. Not a bad experience at all! I actually like how the system libraries and official ways of programming don't try to hide the internals too much. It feels very light-weight and direct, even though there are abstraction layers.

By the way, the karaoke engine code was ported from 8-bit MSX, the Lieves!Tuore Abrels demo, which was compiled with SDCC, MSX screen 2 and some Z80 asm... Ported to m68k Amiga and VBCC... Maybe not the most common source code porting. The karaoke lyric syllable timing frame numbers are based on the Abrels timings, taken from the PSG tune made in Arkos Tracker. The Amiga MOD is a re-make with the same tempo etc. so the timings work the same.

It was a lot of fun to see and hear it live in compo!
