Although remarkable that Yanartas received no mention in the 2014 roundup (man, do I feel butthurt!), this Maggie release reminds me what we have been lacking in the otherwise vibrant Atari scene: a lovely roundup of atari-scene related (and unrelated) things that both disclose background information and offer a nice take on current Atari events.

I hope this release marks the start of the continuation of this great diskmag!

It was fantastic once again to be involved with this new issue of Maggie and it sounds like it has been received well. Thanks for this :)

Now, of course, we will have to dig deep and see what can be produced for Sillyventure 2k16, if this is possible ! :)

As said elsewhere, specially the Maggie brand is a central part of the ST scenes backbone for me since ever. And as suggested I cheered with a glass on my SC1435 to salute this celebrated collective of yours. Thanks for all the effort guys!

So, another DD-disk full of ASCII - respect! It's about time to give a at least a few KB of feedback after quite a few hours or reading (and not totally done yet)!

The treat starts off with the readme and Havocs comments on his pic, lovely :)

The technical mag feel comes along as it mostly did (read on STE) with its unique color palette changing when selecting or leaving and article. I wonder a bit why you use the old shell, the new version of the ST shell would have quite a few advantages (like working on Falcon or not crashing on exit, if I remember right). Maybe next time.
Good to see all the recent stuff covered, it has surely deserved such a proper look at and that little spoon of Maggie kind of humour. Always good to read your view on recent parties. Even a view back to Symposium 1996, wow! Specially enjoyed to read the "where are they now" and interview sections. And also, a lot of thanks for the awards part, it's an honour for sure (both)! Content-wise, I enjoyed reading how all came through the issues in history, with the decisive step from issue 10 to 11 (thanks scene god), the maggie and reservoir gods involvement and how the story went from then on (btw, I think one of my most remembered issues is 26, which burnt into memory for some reason I don't exactly remember. But probably it was the peak of the Maggie-UCM war which was for sure one the weirdest pulse rising experiences during my scene activities. Not really in a bad way at all, it was rather amusing at parts to follow and be part of this play of love and hate between ppl with the same passion. Maybe an early stage of a forum thread where the famous popcorn is asked for - just offline, with replies taking months and coming on floppy disks :) Anyway, I remember the issues from the 20ish on pretty well and particularly the excitement when a new issue (hopefully with another one of those stunning Tat or others intros) came out. Speaking of the intros, amazingly even today many of those intros stand out in a way, but are very pretty little known.
Anyhow, Maggie in those days was a very appreciated feature of this time for me. Thanks for that! For todays issues technically the combination of both disk version and HTML is probably the best approach. A little online variant being reachable right away from the start, wouldn't hurt to reach more readers.

This new issue of Maggie itself is a long lasting wish of mine and its awesome that the STNICCC finally triggered you enough. I think I asked about the chance to see another issue on every party I met you and this may not stop :) And really, with that paragraph of CiH on his experiences on reseting HATARI in order to review old Maggie issues alone, we got a glorious Maggie moment for another look back already!

ps: Felice and CiH, quite shocked by the Editorial part. I did expect you both to be maggied longer than since 8 years only! Or maybe I misread ... Cheers!

Nils, that mini-review was great. That alone would be plenty to ensure that we carry on :-)

With reference to the new vs old ST shell version. Our issue was with losing the recipe to make the linkfile. I have subsequently (re)figured this out, so the next one will probably use Tat's shell.

There will be more from us in the future, but I'm not making any promises as to when. A bit like a certain demo crew that tends to take things 'Siriusly'.

It won't be another 15 year wait though, that's for sure.
