i couldn't decide on which version to release
the 64 byte version has wave sounds and looks a tad better

Wow, nice one!

How did you do the sound in such a small space? Is it just white noise with a volume envelope or something trickier?
rulez added on the 2016-01-20 21:23:20 by jmph jmph
jmph: Nah, that's simpler. It's instrument #123 from the MIDI table wikipedia on MIDI. I play different notes (based on the frame counter) to generate more texture and volume ;)

Wow, something less abstract than typical intros. And with sound.
The magic of relaxing near sea waves in just 64b!!!
Maybe it's my favorite 64b.

No reflections and subsurface scattering? And what's with the specular aliasing??????

Surrounded by ocean, hundreds of kilometers away from land. Not very relaxing, more like scary. Scariest demo of 2016?

The size is very impressive.
I like the MIDI idea.
I didn't know it's possible to play MIDI in MSDOS. Good to know.
