I appreciate aiming for higher quality but there's problems, which I can't assume to stem from lack of time because there's a ton of content.
- Animation is seriously dodgy although it's barely visible so it doesn't ruin much, plus I suppose it goes well with the art-style.
- What doesn't go well with the artstyle is the DOF, even if you were trying to make the whole thing feel like a miniature - in which case a skybox would've worked better.
- The transition idea is cute but at the same time incredibly Z-fight-prone.
- Music is nice but the demo seems to refuse to acknowledge that it exists, it's just "there".
The whole thing feels it's in a rush to take all of the content and quickly go through it as soon as possible without giving the chance to enjoy the detail. Making a 5 minute demo is not a crime if you have the resources to do it. The finale suffers the most from this because I'm sure there was a story or moral you were trying to reach with this but now as it is, it's just "and then something happened! End."

Some obvious problems (popup, clipping, animation isn't that great, what Gargaj said) but I just can't not thumb this up, it just looks and feels too lovely!

+Someone pointed out the roadsigns were greets but I guess I missed the every time. I'll search harder.
+The music is awesome, it really has a 'searching for adventure'-kinda vibe. Also it is not pretentious at all, so it fits the demo nicely. RoccoW always +1

-Just a tip: The whole demo revolves around those little man carrying those battery-thingies, but I had to watch it till the end to see it wasn't the other way around. If you took more time in the beginning to keep those 'batteries' or whatever you call them and the man in the frame, I'm sure the whole demo would have made a lot more sense. But yeah: deadlines.

Pointing towards the right direction. I agree with anyone here, that the artstyle hit a new point of quality. What is absolutely missing, is a nice unveiling of storyline.

A few arguments had been raised (e.g. by Gargaj) and I cannot state those are not valid. But what I can tell, it was totally working for me during the compo, and it's still working, so very big thumb up! It amazed me!

Maybe telling the story using subtitles or "speech bubbles" like in role playing games would have done trick and could have been realized quite fast.
Or hire a narrator and let him talk over it... also very fast... but finding one is a little hurdle...

Very nice music and all in all very pleasant to watch! Reminds me of my childhood when I used to "build worlds" with Playmobil characters! Lovely!
Absolutely lovely and cute, and I like the story too. I can see that lots of work went into the individual scenes, and they're all so nice and different and imaginative <3 The transitions felt really jerky and unfinished though, which is a real shame given the otherwise high quality.
But that's just nitpicking on an otherwise wonderful production -- keep it up!
