"Gone fishing..." by Nodepond/Hello Demoscene
This game is a "remix" of a retro-game-console I was able to play at the Ghetto Scene Party 2014.
I obviously didn't had the time to polish the game - I spend most of the time working on the game-design.
PLAY MORE RETROGAMES!
RULES:
Gone fishing is a two-player game, where the one player plays the FISHER, while to other player plays the FISHSWARM.
Controls :: Player1 - ROD
LEFT-SHIFT: Throw the rod into water
If the rod is not in water, you can "train baits". You have three baits - they help you getting a better radius for easyness of getting fishes.
To train the baits, select them by the keys A and D.
If the rod is on water, you can toss it around with
A - left
S - down
D - right
Controls :: Player2 - FISHSWARM
Cursor UP/DOWN: Select fish
Cursor LEFT/RIGHT: Change direction of the fish
The more you "swim the fish" (change direction), the stronger the will be be. Indicated by the red bar over the fish.
FISHFIGHT
If the rod hits a fish, a "clickduel" will start. Player 1 press LEFT-SHIFT as fast as possible. As so will do player 2 with RIGHT-SHIFT. The strength of the fishes will be taken into account of the does. The player has also a strengt indicator. It will be trained by tossing the ROD on water.
GAMEOVER
The game ends, if the hunger-indicator of Player 1 reaches 100 OR of the last fish of the FISHSWARM has ended up.
