Baudsurfer: This *is* a Windows 1kb intro, not a JavaScript 1kb ;)
I believe JavaScript prods are ~100 bytes away from this level of visuals and audio.

I couldn't run it in my very old, updated Windows XP Pro SP3, but wow from YouTube video capture.
Bump. I'd like to point out that the source is really included and it's pretty tight. If you leave out the timeGetTime() calls and just use a simple framecounter, you'll get some extra bytes.

I know of work modelling the formation of vesiculated basalt (porous rock formed from quickly-cooling lava) using fractal algorithms, so there's scientific basis here. ;)
