Great one!
Design could be more stylish, but it's a large step forward.

The power of FPGA config by TS-Labs has been understood for a while now, but this is perhaps the first demo to properly illustrate the demomaking potential of the platform. Good pacing, good flow, subtle digital sound effects, great tune and nice relaxed feeling overall. The Rubicon has been crossed.

Super cool prod. Outstanding coder's and artist's capabilities are revealed here with the help of sophisticated tile- and sprite-moving hardware. Yes, that hardware has nothing to do with spectrum and infinitesimally less 'spectrum' than atm hardware, which, at least, pretends only to be new videomodes, not shifting and mirroring sprites and tiles and shit.

LVD, I remember you told me in chat that you wouldn't undertake to implement such a hardware. So, when somebody else managed to make it - are you envious or what? Again, show me very first demos for Amiga or ZX, are they masterpieces of all times? This is the very beginning, take it or leave it. :)

Oh, I forgot to comment this :)
Well, it is an excellent start for new enhanced ZX platform! I hope than TS-Config can do not only these things that you can see in this prod, and it has a HUGE potetial for coders and graphicians.
to all TS-haters : f**k off!

wormsbiysk, please, retro-scene doesn’t need conflicts like between NedoPC and TS - retro-scene is about excitement and keeping stuff alive, not bringing unnecessary hates and conflicts
nitrofurano. yes, I fully agree with your opinion. Of course, holywars and conflicts between TS-Config and ATM users are the big "sack of shit", but an attitude of some persons (like Alone Coder, for example) just enraged me.

Says combined demo, so type should be demo and not wild?
added on the 2014-08-04 00:38:06 by Photon Photon
@Photon, the real name of the compo was "ZX Spectrum enhanced demo compo". Word "exhanced" was used in the same sense as discussed in the infamous thread. All 4 demos in the compo were made for the "ZX Evolution" with the TS-Conf, the configuration that adds a pretty powerful graphics accelerator to the machine.
added on the 2014-08-04 01:09:53 by introspec introspec
People do not really consider this configuration as "ZX Spectrum", although it is highly compatible with Russian ZX Spectrum clone called "Pentagon". Hence, it is a kind of "ZX Spectrum", but not really, hence "Wild".
added on the 2014-08-04 01:12:11 by introspec introspec
The same party also had "ZX Spectrum intro/demo compo" compo. Computers with more than 128K of memory and extra graphics modes were not allowed there.
