Damn, i don't have a Pi yet. Time to buy one!
Megahawks demo! :D Nice music, demo was a bit repetitive.
Quite like the graphics style and the music in this one.
Cool!
Really nice, I need a second rpi.
(ok so you took hover the wild compo :D).
thumb up for the great style, both visuals and audio.

Cool visual style and audio.
Nice! Nice atmosphere and cool visuals. Maybe the plane sequence breaks the 80's feeling a bit but otherwise really good.
great concept, some good ideas, but overall lackluster execution.
nice to see more demos for the raspberry pi. i think you can still push it further though. but thumbup for breaking some ground.
what uncle-x said
Liked the italo track, but I think you should have collaborated with Megahawks on the visuals for this one x)
I love the Hedelmae style. This one felt a bit empty, but it still looked great and the tune was good as well.
I know nothing about the hardware however here's my 'instant thumb-up' for this veeeeeeery good music.
megahawks demo indeed :)
1 credit = 3 lives
;-)
;-)
Sweet! :D :D
Cool Pi Demo is it running under Raspbian ?
How do you get this thing to run?
I have latest raspbian (2013-07-26-wheezy-raspbian.zip)
When I run it, shell clears for a while with cursor blinking, then I get:
Assertion 'p' failed at pulse/simple.c:275 in function pa_simple_write()
and the exe aborts.
A bit disappointing, I thought with the RaspberryPI we would have a platform with fixed hardware and where everything worked exactly the same for everyone (like on the good old c64 or Amiga500)
Guess that it's no use to have fixed hardware when you have that damn Linux layer with different versions and crap on top of it. :(

Nice demo. Looks like some games I'd like to play if they were real (assuming they're not). It would be nice to know the running requirements though, yeah, like what operating system. ;)
Sdw: Not really the right place for this discussion but if you want that you could always release your raspi-demo as a self-booting memory card image. Don't even need to use linux then, though then you won't get to use linux libs either, and if you're coding without external libs even the linux binary should be quite widely compatible so... use riscos it's lighter? If there was a big and well-established raspi-scene maybe a standard would eventually be agreed upon.

Great music and good atmosphere setting, but the graphics feel a bit slow-paced compared to the music. With more efforts on the transitions, digging a bit more the graphics, could have been a killer :)
is ok
Nice tune, looks good and has consistent colors/visuals throughout. Like the retro-style and screen filter. Thumbs up!
What uncle-x said. Great tune too, thumbs up for that.
What visy said
Yay, nice style, great music and... Raspberry Pi!
B.B. Ca-Ching: Yes, I agree that distributing a complete image would be the best way to release RaspberryPi demos - then it would just be for people to write the image to a SD card, dig up their Raspi, hook it up to the TV and boot, and everything should work.
Considering that what demos need is - OpenGL + sound output and nothing much more, I think that the Linux could be quite minified, no keyboard/mouste/ehternet/USB etc. etc. support needed.
That way the democreator ensures that it has the correct libs and correct versions of everything.
But perhaps the prod comment section is not the place to discuss this! :)

Cool vibe!
awsome!
If I have anything running in the background on my pi, the audio will desync and eventually just stop... but running it alone on the machine: awesome.

Quite a few people said it is a bit simplistic for the hardware. I am not really qualified to have an opinion about this, but I do know that this demo stayed with me since the first viewing. I re-watched it quite a few times, because I love the tune and because I love the 1980s-styled blurred visuals and simplistic geometries and overall relaxed feel of the demo.
Nice style!
excellent music and pleasure to watch
great style!
Amazing soundtrack, and I'm very much digging the late 80s vibe, so it's a thumb. Visuals are lacking though.
Enjoyable, but the music saves the demo+concept ;)

yes
Nice one!
