I'm not worthy!! Greetings Elite Rez!
amazing!!
Awesome prod rez.. awesome!
Great works, and once again Dubmood rocks :)
amazing!
Nice design with awesome soundtrack.
Awesome job, rez !
Massive trip!
Excellent 4K. Rez has made huge progress and the design is nice.
this is excellent :)
amazing!
BISOUS ^o^
And runs wonderfully on Linux, great demo !
!!!
Very cool, as expected :)
nice syncro, zike, colors & effects!
Love
Entertaining, nice filters.
cool
a bit too much run-of-the-mill 4k stuff in a 64k. That curvy screen filter can't really save it alone ;)
nice as ever
Rules the 8bit style.
Fantastic work, rez & dubmood!
damn. my lappy ain't enough to not drop below 15FPS -.-
great work
great work
rulez as always!
very nice one! the TV filter maybe was a bit overdone, though ;)
This is rez's new style... and I like it!!! :)
Love it! My favorite intro in the compo.
Awesome stuff!
Niiice!
Rez+Dubmood mixes new tech and hints of the oldschool style. Bloody awesome!
.
the scene is so dead.
another razor win
64k is back! Awesome intro, rez!
Love it!
- CRT filter overdone.
- Dubmood's music, plz get 4mat back!
+ Major step forward.
+ Nice to see rez use shaders extensively this time.
+ Honestly, design now on par with 4kb's out there.
Well done rez, I really mean that :)

Cute but meh.
Really nice, as always ;)
best use of fractals
Runs relatively well on a netbook with nv ION, which is nice. :)
If you could get rid of that old CRT/noise/sub pixel filter and the Amiga wanking, that would be just dandy. ;)

Cute & stylish. Well done Rez !
64k rules and so do the Revision Party 2012!
Cute :)
Intro is slicker than rez's haircut. Spot in fella, good work!
Fantastic. Nothing wrong with Amiga wanking.
Nice as usual. Minor moan is that last years music was a lot sharper and cooler. If you changed something in the way it was made, maybe consider changing it back?
Yet another solid and stylish prod.
Very nice visuals, less nice and very unfitting music which had me press escape. I 100% share tomaes point.
Some nice rendering here and there but more variations in style wouldn't hurt next time.
The more Amiga wanking, the better.
Great show!
i dunno...that crt filter..
Lovely
rez, well done :)
I love the beginning, the rest is good, with a notable improvment from the previous prod.
keep up the good word, french demoscene ftw
keep up the good word, french demoscene ftw
ok music, couple of great scenes, overall coherent
What wullon said
The shameless (and oh-so-overdone) Amiga-pandering gives me a sour taste from beginning to end. The music felt rushed and uninspired, but the scenes looked good. Granted, they were all raymarched "we've-see-this-a-million-times-for-years-already", but they looked good.
Good work!
oh nice prod
Nice music, nice code and design...
Nice design.
The music saves a alot. Typical Rez style, expected tiny glenz poppin somewhere, but not this time.
Refreshing and colorfull. I like.
Refreshing and colorfull. I like.
sweet stuff.
lovely stuff <3
Too much postprocessing applied to the screen while the music is a bit empty. Only the last scene (cubes) and the b&w computer screens are consistent with the title. The prod is polished however; thus, piggy. Overall it did not move me. I was looking forward to see the big show ;).
rez is sexy!
REZ IS SEXY !
very nice
.
Awesome.
stunning work. very well done effects with awesome colors and filters and tons of juicy good style!
Only complain I have is I had to watch on youtube, I only got a black screen with noise and flashes on my gf8800gts.

I think the amiga-thing is a bit over the top, but I dig the music and the scenes are clearly polished in france. Besides, "andromeda" looks almost edible in rzr-fontz.. :)
REZPECT !
Colorful, smooth and stylish.
rez<3
So perfectly balanced. Best direction all over the place :)
Verrry nice and awesome soundtrack ! I love the samples from atari st. Superb !
really great use of colors - one thing the other entries lacked. feels very polished. i agree with gloom and hyde regarding the amiga reference though...
dat final scene!!
<3
works now. So much better in real-time!
kool stuff..
rez ... marry me
very nice
Cool.
I'm a big fan of your style rez. Fantastic!
Finally some fresh stuff from you rez :) This time I really loved your intro!
64k is the new 4k apparantly, literally. Rez certainly keeps on improving, but now just get a more inspired musician and start making something more original.
This is a weak thumb up.
The opening is really cool, and rendering wise you definitely improved over your previous work.
But then the flow is just not there, and the music does not work. You proved you can do so much better. I liked your last year a *lot* more.

very very good quality! from beginning to end just flawlessly cool! :]
enjoyable. Also . . . Zavie put it best. see his comment.
Absolutely fantastic. I loved it.
I had an argument with Leia when this was on about this. I loved it, but she didn't like it. weird. There's some really nice "infinite stuff shit" in this demo, and nicely polished. I thought this was one of the better ones in the compo. Good effort lads. Greets to you guys for a good prod.
Never lose this style. It is awesome.
Bit too much of the "old TV" filter, though (:
Bit too much of the "old TV" filter, though (:
DUBMOOD IS DEATH!1
Enjoyable
Overall design is very nice
very nice as usual
of course - here is my love for this one: <3
awesome and really nice design/direction.
The Scene is death.
What Gloom said.
Cool muzic, cool colors, nice scenes, just the tittle is strange :)
Great work :) The visual quality is a big step up from last time. Music.. mixed. I didn't like it much until the tunnel/greets part, then it really kicked. I'd like it more if it had less of a retro theme, but that's your style I guess.
nice colors. nice style.
design!
rez
My favorite from revision.
Fuck yeah :D
I liked this one and the CRT post processing wasn't as tedious as I initially thought. Good stuff.
awesome prod, drowning in oldskool vibez
quite good (especially the beginning), although the postprocessing was a bit too much for me. Still, very enjoyable visuals and music.
dubmood owns, this tune is pre gold!
*pure. meh.
irREZistible \o/
lovely intro!
nice
Nice concept by loading using mobile synch pulses. hahahha
Awesome!
great music!
Awesome!
great music!
increible .. excelente como siempre .. any have the soundtrack ?
Very cool :)
rez finally learned raymarching! Welcome to the future, buddy!
:)
funky!
R(UL)EZ!
@rez you're a voxel fucking stalker! So next demo I would love to see some voxels talking to lolcubes. This intro was nice, well done.
good intro
should have been first.
Nice burial ceremony :)
Rez is rising!
There's very few PC intros/demos i truly enjoy, the Razor shit is always top notch tho, always classy and the right amount of retro feeling to it. Superb soundtrack by Dubmood as usual. "rulez".
postprocessing is not my cup to coffee, amigaism is getting annoying, the music too and i confess i watched the yt stream so i could skip the sometimes boring scenes
me likes, rocked the big screen
Definately a solid production. I'm not a big fan of the style, but it's definately well executed. And to quote a famous TV-host: And now - for something completely different ;)
well done, but rez's revamped oldschool style is starting to get boring even if it is always well polished.
Some nice scenes, some over clichés scenes.
I think I prefer WHABYV
I think I prefer WHABYV
Oh and you totally killed Jack Tramiel with the overdose of Amiga nostalgia :\
yeaaah, old-school vibes combined with some fresh code!!
Good to see you taking your work another step further! No thumb up though because the post-proc was quite a bit too much for my taste and didn't really enjoy the music.
.
always thumbing for rez :)
deserved 3rd place in my book, tho
deserved 3rd place in my book, tho
Unbelievable stylish. Especially those colors combined with the post-effects really made me wanna marry u :)
I'm a sucker for many dubmood tracks but this time the ZIK just didn't match the visuals. Those were great though and I enjoyed the style tremendously which is interesting given that it's always a variation on a well known theme mastered by rez :)
The last four minutes are gorgeous.
good looking, but recycled and overhyped. nothing changes.
I hate the amiga/razor posturing since it seems so outdated, but this intro contains the most enjoyable tunnel since ever! Well done, Rez.
Nice one as always :) 3LN rulez haha
dat scenes !! Well done bro, you roxx more and more each time...
Love the visuals!
rezorspect
W O W !
nice.
scenes are getting more interesting (as in less fake oldschool) which is a good thing and the colorschemes used are quite nice.
music and rainbow fonts are still not my cup of tea. But progression is there and also you need something as a trademark.
so here's the thumb :)

PERFECT!
EXCELLENT!!
fuckings to lamers
Finally something new
Yummy yum..
best one so far! <3 dubmood's tune
What gloom said.
Nice visuals.
quality prod, but feels short
Sorry for the first sucks. :/ But I didn't enjoyed this one.
enjoyable
Great, though a bit short
The music by Dubmood is excellent!
.
Nice colors and CRT filter, but kind of "meh" overall. The raymarched endless tunnel-ish stuff reminded me of 4ks a bit too much.
Creating a mood, leaving out certain choices, flowing strong and greetings for TRSI & VISION FACTORY back to back is a massive REZ-ioreptic treat!
The next Public Choice Awards winner :D
good oldskool trip
Razor1911 did better before. Also it barely run well on my machine.
This is going in the right direction for sure - I like the incorporation of more modern graphical techniques while still keeping the deliberately old-school style demo concept. Thumb!
How many lives does the scene have anyway?
very solid prod, love the sound
Absolutely great !
+ Dubmood <3
+ Oldskool
-Too much great looking nowadays demo effects
+ Oldskool

Nice! I had to watch it on YouTube video.
solid
That's my favourite RZR release, for sure!
All is just great. Glying of effects in stylish demo is just perfect. Masterpiece!

Make no mistake, the demoscene is an offspring of the cracking scene, it has infinite life and auto-fire.How many lives does the scene have anyway?
I like it! Tune is somewhat weaker than your previous entries though.
Can't see that using the amiga screen is much worse than throwing in a gigantic C64 logo - at least the screen has a bit more class in my opinion.
My only objection is the too "TV-distorted" picture (both the noise and the bend)

great 64k, love the last scene espacially!
should've placed 2nd.
should've placed 2nd.
Very Amiga-ish, but how about make something on the real thing?
colour me beautiful!

Very nice kaleidoscopic'ish fractal flight
I second that.

Less CRT-bending and more strawberries! :)
Great intro, but looks a little bit like the previous razor1911 intros.
omg cool!!
@Rez : Great 64k for sure!
i hope this is the end of the raymarch-bonanza.
nice kaleidoscope
What mudlord said, without the thumb. Just not enough interesting content to stay on for four minutes. Not bad either, though, so here's some ham.
I ... like it! :)
well best razor's prod. I think the top level is reached.
La scène est morte !!! Votez Mélenchon !!! ;-)
My favourite in the compo
Refreshing! Neat idea!
How come i always enjoy this kind of music and sync?
Simply amazing.
ruuuuuuuuuuuulez
not bad, but still those shitty colors. i wonder why so much thumbs up, seriousely.
No. That's just Dutch and Polish coders.
COLORS!
really fucking good! love the effects, so beautiful. love the music! three thumbs up!
Not entirely correct since Tramiel tried to buy Amiga but wasn't successful. Rest of the story is the Atari ST. :D
Great to see another 64k from you guys! Effects look amazing, choice of colors is special in a good way. Still liked your "votedisk" intro more when it comes to atmosphere and music. However keep these beautiful intros coming please :)
This is great! I liked the introduction the best - Is it just me, or is it quite rare for such a 'long' beginning? Keep the retro-with-production-values style coming.
Yessss!
Absolutely rocks in my pants!!
Everything is sexy! Awesome end...
Keep it retro and eyes candy with your favorite culture, cause you're doing it fantastic.
And what a fuckin magic tune...

8-bit sound, good coding. Expected glenz or sine scrollers, tho. Rez, keep the spirit. Dont go to hypnoglow :)
It absolutely blew me away! Can you set up an ebay-auction for a greeting slots in your next release?
Nice work.
awesome! love this style! it is like a supercracktro
french kisss...I'm not gay !
I totally love the oldskool style colors and shininess and the postprocessing filters or whatever its called. Nostalgia yeah, who cares, it's a big part of the scene, i.e. the people
Just loved it. Done with great style. rez 4 prez! :D
Homework from raymarching threads done. The code is dead slow and basically these are some 1k's glued together, with copper-like coloured fonts to serve for "amiga feel"? mmmkay...
made me want to bum myself...in a good way.
master!!!
Live vid on youtube: http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=WtleeW6C4fg

also is thy soundtrack available somewhere?
Very nice!
No need.

Worthy 3rd place! Great roundup of that oldskoolish feel and current effects and a nice pace and sync.
Ah yeah...
awwwwwwww yea!!!!
wowz
hard compo, eh! ;)
this would have easily won any other demopartys compo ;)
good to see you finally took our advice to switch to shaders ;)
easy shit, aint it?
be prepared to get massive hugging! :p

Definitely a "Rulez"! :)
Enjoyed it thoroughly.
Highly enjoyable. Dubmood rocks!
rzr-025: the hipster demo
Yes.
My line was a reference to fr-025, but I'm glad I actually wasn't too far off. :P
Turned out to be way better than at first expected!
d(u - m)b and rez, you guys are awesome!
A bit unfortunate that it had to compete inside such a strong compo (then again, it made that compo even more awesome). At another time and space, it would probably have gotten 1st or 2nd. But look at it like this rez: It ended up above all the "classical" entries, and only those with strong emotional "storytelling" beat you. Plus, the live atmosphere (watch the live vid folks!) was awesome.
@pout.net: Why do you log me out in just 20mins? Do you not want members to think for more than 20mins about writing a post?
Goddammit, 2nd try, retyping everyhing from scratch.
@rez, thanks for the reply.
In case you'd like more detailed "criticism" about your work, than "a few liners":
What i overally liked: You synthesizing oldschool feel with modern visuals. Kinda like - you know, what nowadays is knows as "neon-glow look" has nothing to do with how stuff did look like in the 80's... instead, it is how it FELT LIKE back then, without actually (realistically) being like that back then.
Two things i didn't like so much: Jumping on the raymarching bandwaggon. Then again, the way you did it allowed you to have "modern" visuals combined with "retro"-feel. So even though i may not like the approach that much, the way you used it felt just perfect as a synthesis of "retro-feel" and "modern-fidelity". So, its not really something i can criticize - it worked perfectly, even if i may have doubts about the technical side (just throwing processing power at stuff, to escape 64/4kb? Feels like cheat (throw ridiculous amounts of processing power, at storage bottlenecks... and only top-notch uber rigs can run it, as opposed to i.e. amiga times).
But for something more constructive - walking through the demo scenes:
- triforce intro. Awesome. Only improvement proposal i have, is that the "pacing" should perhaps be more linear, and less log. What i mean with this, is that initially there is quite a bit of "wait" for anything to happen.... then the "finish" on that scene happens rather quickly (and i do love the "crescendo"!!!).
- 1st raymarching scene: Transition works superb, but the actual visuals feel a bit underwhelming? At this point, i someway suspect that this demo is not just arranged for presentation at a compo, but also is a history of your own abilities? In any case, fine by me because....
- the next raymarch scene kicks ass, and removes any doubts about "low-fidelity"
- next up: someway feels like a "filler" scene. Not a bad one really.... it's "okay" ... given that the next scene would again push things up...
- but that doesn't happen. Enter IMO the lowest point of the entire demo. This IMO is the case because two things work together: 1. It is ANOTHER cube based scene, AFTER 3 cube-based scenes preceding it, and: 2. To me, dubmood's soundtrack at this point reaches the lowest creativity and execution. So kinda: visuals and programming - as well as sound - both simultaneusly - to me - reach their lowest point..... not good. IMO, this scene (in live vid: 02:00-02:35) is THE area where one could have "elevated" the overall demo above of what it is. I also strongl suspect, that all the negative comments about dubmood's soundtrack would read quite different, if that single section were different, visuals and music wise.
- 1st tunnel: okay, by nowadays demostandards, it's just "good", but given the pacing, it kicks just perfectly.... especially thanks to the sinus-formed cables, which make it look more "organic" than it is,
- 2nd tunnel with greetings: Normally i'd think "oh, ANOTHER tunnel", but oh... how fitting it looks, and how perfect the colors are..... its like perfectly 80's scifi-style. I really don't know how to do it better. It to me perhaps is the most aesthetically consistent and fitting scene in the entire demo! It just looks perfect given the target style. So even though we get a 2nd tunnel in a row, this one is just so "polished" that what i feel is "perfect, awesome!" instead of "meh, one more!"
- greetings/fuckings cube scene: Technically not that impressive... but again, rzr direction and pacing trumpts tech. Perfect placing, as you can hear from the audience. Ideal point in time, to place that "attitude" without (ironically) actually pissing anyone off.
- "kaleidoscope tunnel": A lot of people have commented on this already, so i really do not have much to add. Yes, it may technically perhaps be a "simple" effect, but oh how it works. Awesome! The only "cricicism" i may have is, that it follows so quickly on the "mid-demo" 2nd tunnel. It's as if the demo goes right from "mid" to "crescendo" without intermission. I think the absence of something "good" in-between mainly is why some people perceive the demo as "short". I think something in-between
- ending scene: Not many peole have commented on this, which - imo - is a shame. I really LOVE this scene. It fits so perfectly as a "gameover"-style finish as well as placement of the razor logo. I just wish it would have been about 1,0secs longer. Honestly, i love the mood and nostalgia of that scene. It fits your "retro style with modern interpretation" style perfectly... please, more of this!

Can't get enough of this kaleidoscope part...
damn.. this is really cute!
Wow, this is amazing. It has such a nostalgic feeling and atmosphere. Rez has got the modern retro style down to perfection.
The music is pretty damn awesome too!
The music is pretty damn awesome too!
The scene, as it would appear, is definitely not dead. :D
I like this.
I love every bit of this, from the pixels shaders to the color palette & the music.
I like the art direction, but too repetitive for thumb up.
really good build up of the pace in this.
it contain same effects but still good
\o/
I love it, but apparently forgot to thumb it up... Great infusion of oldskool-feeling into modern tech. Great tune, and a nice sync that goes beyond simple beat flashing. And I also love the rez color scheme; some scenes look great with it! Lovely.
yolo
Beautiful graphics and music, a bit slow at the beginning.
Very nice.
Oldschool.
The scene IS NOT dead !! :) Top prod. Congrats Rez for your awesome coding skills!
I love this one. The compo results are extremely disappointing.
Nice
liked the old font colors
Still great.

Whoops-a-daisy, forgot this thumb, one of my favourites intro.
that sync with the music
This grew on me over the years. I enjoy it a lot now.
Also, belated thanks for the greetings.
Also, belated thanks for the greetings.
I Really like this intro, feel connected to the title ;)
a pleasure for the eyes
is it though?
There is something beautiful about 10 year old code still working and generating graphics even more beautiful than at release. Props for the pretty demo!
Second scene i saw in my life.
Good stuff. Great tune.
Great!
