It just really kicks ass!! You must watch with your own eyes the scene with the mirrors and the refraction in order to believe it!!

it just rulez... one of the best demos i've ever seen.....
one of the best *Greek* demos you've ever seen, you mean :)
It's not bad, it has a lot of really neat stuff. Nice tricks, cheats and blurs. I'm just not too keen on the colors and textures, and the music kinda lost me after a minute.
It beats staring at the ceiling though, nice work. ;)

Fantastic, ASD does it again and amazes the crowd at React demoparty... this time it is definitely one of the TOP demos of the year. watch it and lose the sence of time and space by the magic tricks of ASD ... this demo FUCKING RULEZ.
Whoah, this seriously kicks some ass. Very amazing demo, best demo of the year so far! And even on my pIII-450 / tnt2 it's running mostly fine :)
My humble being can't digest very well the design but ... thumbs up without any doubt, nice work 8P
great stuff!
I love all the lighting and blurring tricks :)
and the scene from the screenshot was a nice and original touch :) and there are not too much dwelling with each scene, but a nice and steady progression all the way.
as a sidenote, I consider this the most uplifting demo of 2002, whereas most european demo tend to be dark and gloomy for now. again: great stuff!

F*cking awesome!
Impressive demo by ASD, fast paced with beautiful colors. The music is a psychedelic trance track, alot more energetic than from previous ASD demos. A well deserved rulez!
no artsy design, no carefully picked colors, no clickety-click idm soundtrack - but instead a full-fledged attack on the senses with a fat trancey tune and loads of effects. it's demo as it was supposed to be by god, and as it was before we started digging MTV and Wallpaper* magazine for 'ideas'.
Rulezzz !!!! Fantastic feelings from this prod....I think it is better than most prods on MS2K2.....rulezzz
it looks sooo 1997
woah, nice flow! neat effects and overall feeling. but i thought some scenes were too colourful and kitschy, plus the music sucked.
greate muusic and a steady flow in the demo..the scenes are well put together.
my fav. was the hand/galaxy scene...
my fav. was the hand/galaxy scene...
oh..and thumbs up...
ASD is really using time on making good transitions in their demos and that makes demos so much cooler. They also bake effects into eachother in a crazy way :)
I really loved that undersea scene with the fire and mirrors...really good...and that transition to that glass ball is cool...the reflections is cool.
The music is that style that is often used in demos and it`s ok..like some of it.
This demo is very very good...the only thing I didnt like was that first scene after the introduction scene.
I hope this wasnt the last ASD demo.

Mixed feeling here ... Overall view, the demo is well balanced. Colors are OK even if not my favs, music is once again that techno/trance track .. well, if some like it !
Anyway the scene were really good, except for the underwater scene: Overblurred !!!
But yet, transitions are ass kicking !!!
So, the whole deserves that Thumb !!!
Keep up, ASD guyz ...

Hmm.. once again the Greeks are patting themselves on the back - I guess that's what they're known for over there ;). I can't help but notice the inspiration by previous demos here. Lots of great effects and ideas, but they're over too fast or get drowned out by other, lesser effects on the screen. The music is more demoscene flavor than last time (and original!) but it's still nothing great and still doesn't fit the demo too well.. but it's better than the Adrenalin music at least. :) If you have a friend with a short-attention span, this is a good mish-mash demo to show them.
I like it, but I see too much of Cadence and Cascade here (transitions, etc.). Nice effects though, and nice soundtrack.
I don't personally believe in 11Mb demos, that's why I'm not giving it a rulez here. It's a good demo, but not worth the size of it.
Good work guys, keep on producing

this demo is well set up with visuals, but I found the soundtrack rather noisome.
One thing I liked about Cadence and Cascade was the constant transitions between sections, which made for a very smooth flowing demo. This production is no different. It seems to become more interesting as it progress, is not too long, and the music fits. (Apart from the voice samples, which are icky...) My favourite bit is (once again) the way sections creatively transition from one part to the next. Slick.
There's enough to see in each scene and the transitions are really good.
Cute, we'll designed, pretty cool effects, synch. I've liked this one, ASD is improving in every demo they produce.
erm..the music and some scenes and fades, reminds me some kind of 604 inspired, but i liked much more the design work and composition on thie EOF by ASD. Congrats!

some nice moments in that one.
i cannot understand why they chose a name with 'andromeda' in it, though... don't you know the amiga group?

Very good job.
Loads of fx, transitions, good gfx here and there.... it still has some coder color combinations, but is definitely one of the best productions this year (and better having coder colors and fx than a 3d player (eh 3p? :))
Rulez.

shut up about the coder color. this rocks!! beutyfull colors at all times id say!
Visually it's pretty darn good. It doesn't play music in my machine though.... and yes, I DID hit the YES button on the dialog at the beginning. Weird.
This is very very cool. I mean there's enough material here to fill a few demos, effects come and go at a ridiculous pace, transitions are fluid and make sense too.
phoenix: well.. if it had fewer effects lasting longer, would it then be boring? I like the fast transistions, it makes the demo exciting to watch over again, as there are new details to discover every time :)
(for the record: I'm norwegian, not greek ;)

Mac: what's this? The worlds worst colour-blind coder talking about colour combinations?!?!
Iblis: he was talking about _his_ prods!
My comment: fuck! I loved it. Totally. It's just amazing, with effect after effect, with trick after trick. It just blew me away.
The only thing is that I see that people just use one camera for a scene, they don't do cut-scenes like in VIP2 (that's one of the reasons it's so appealling!). But that's not a bad point, it's just not a good point :)
Conclusion: Rulz big time!

When i saw it i said: HOLY MOTHER OF CHRIST!!!!. It Rulez and i don't have words to express how fantastic, ass kickin, fuckin great demo,Edge Of Forever is.
Stunningly, awesomely beautiful. There's not a single word that describes how beautiful it is.
I loved the combination of accelerated and software graphics all at the same time - very nice visual tricks, transitions, everything.
The music was good, but you could have left out the newsman's monologue, and added a fading echo to Ellie's dad's voice at the very end (it seemed to cut off to quickly).
The combination of the two at times made my eyes get all watery :,)
Definitely one of the best 11MBs I ever downloaded...

hm - maybe all thumbs up rose my expectations too much, i don't know. this one surely deserves a thumb up for all efforts put into it, the amount of work can be seen well. anyway i didn't like it. i just don't like "kitsch" demos. the name, the music, the overall feeling is way too pathetic for me. i think my favourite scene is the loading screen so far ;)
lots of pretty generic effects teamed up together with some fancy camera movements result in a few nice looking scenes. to me it seems that they've spent a lot of time on details.. which pays off. on the other hand i can't really feel happy about a few spheres on a plane and the music was so awfully cheesy..
nice visuals, nice tricks, nice design. this is almost perfect, but the soundtrack is a bit out of the picture...
Well, it made me want to watch Contact again. (But it ended up being spaceballs, but that's my prob... :) )

i need to admit.
This demo is great, the ASD really did it once more :)
the transitions the effects and the music can really make u "travel".
keep up the good work guys.

Can't stop watching it!!!
Amazing demo! It's sure one of the best demos this year and I doubt if exists no one that can see it less from 1.000.000 times! Also the feeling of watching this demo at the projector was something really special. We the ASD addicts we're expecting a new even better production!!!
Good works!!
Music and some effects was good.

Let me vote too... I have 2 go after that (I am in an Icafe and I will wash the disses if I don't leave now!)
I have seen it again, amazing, liked it more than their previous (That means that they advance a lot) the visuals/transmations and ideas are amazing, there is a non stollen music this time, done by Amusic, I liked it very much,. it touches me that there is one greek group doing a good job keeping our tiny greek scene alive..
I am wondering if you can do better next time. Navis just said in my mailing list that he wants to do better and better things each time, but wonders how he can achieve that after this demo :)
OK, 2nd time watching it, and I'm convinced that the voice samples killed this demo. (forgive me, amusic!) A tune that changed style around the parts (like TBL's recent stuff), being hi-energy techno in some parts, but drumless and emotional in others (like the hand at the end) would've made this demo so much more moving - because I am impressed by the effect sequencing. So, so very close to a thumbs up.
these people have true power! ;)
It rulez, it's the best, it rocks, but where the hell is macaw???
good Demo!
Nice job guyz. keep up.
Let's vote for this thingie to reach the top 10!!! Really have you seen 10 better prods than this one??
just rulez
unglaublich gut!
the only thing that makes me more happy than seeing this prod, is the fact that it was released at our party;)
... just poetry and magic ...
... thank you guyz ...
.you are very .good

What really amazes me is the awfully fluid camera movement....
Really amazing...Keep up the excellent work guys...

This is a good demo, but why the hell did they greet nextempire????
Why not greet nextempire? What did they do? "Did they piss inside the well?" (greek expression) :-)
WOW, this is one of the best prods i've ever seen!! i loved the hand with the "galaxy" in it =)
first half is kinda dull and running extremely slow (?) on my pc. The second half is brilliant, great colors, effects, nice timing... I love it. A keeper for me.

i wish i had a better computer to see it from my home :(
i love it, respect.
Whaou ! A really amazing demo !
when i saw it i stayed speechless for a while and then shouted GREAT F*#%#*% DEMO!!!!One of the best i ever seen
oh.. man... great work!!!

amazing... a big "thank you" to asd for providing us with such an experience :-)
don't know. quite some nice stuff in it and it certainly has its moments, but that said, nothing i'd even start a second time. just doesn't give me anything.
ASD once again so their abilities! thumbs up!
show*
In your face, Mind's Eye video!
really great prod! cool effects, but a little strange "story"...
Amusic: I have a GeForce2mx400 and it runs just perfect, really smooth everywhere. I had some problems when i had 128mb ram due to swapping. but with 256 it runs fine (p2 350 mind you)
Hmm it has been a long time without a thumb up!! Well thumbs up again for this gem!
Whoah, I haven't voted for this yet?
It's one of my favourite recent demos, and I have recommended it to many people already :)
I love it... great music, great transitions...
As for the 3 spheres on a plane...
I guess that's a poke at realtime raytracing :)
If it were realtime raytracing, it'd be cool...
But now it's 3d hardware, so it looks better, runs way faster, so it's not cool :)
I like that little detail there :)

As in CnC, creative effects and smooth transitions from ASD -- if there's anything I didn't like that well, it must be the colour scheme and the music -- I don't really feel that those two fit too well together. Heavy render-to-texture use, so I guess it won't look too good on my own card (haven't tried), but appears smooth on a Geforce2MX. :-)
It's all been said. An outstanding demo with a tremendous atmosphere. Great work!
it crashes with a Borland Pascal error message on my Athlon 1300/Win2K... is it a bad-OS or a too-fast-processor bug?
oops, Borland C, not Pascal =)
rules!
Brilliant visual design.
Nice flow.
Graphics ranging from ok to quite good.
Lots of great transitions.
A "different" taste.
What's not to like? The music is not to like (even tough I love the movie "Contact").
Still, one of the best productions of the past 12 months.

Nice stuff, cool ideas, a bit too simple music, but still, worth thumbing it up.
great piece of work! packed with ideas and really polished throughout. my only criticism: very uninspired music. oh well, and the lack of support for older gfx hardware...
ah, two more things:
+vocal samples are nice
+combination of 3d accel and raytracing rules

Whaouuu :)
_this_ is demomaking.
Nice transitions, and mostly made of non easy to explain effects, a little bit like in dreams :)
Clean. Change of usual 3D stuff. I love that.

this demo just gets better and better every time I watch it. still the most entertaining demo from 2002 by far.
oooooh!!! really rocks! art! no boring scenes. one of the best prods of the year
This prod is so beautiful !!! Amazing colors !!! I love it, it is defenitely one of my favorites !!! All thumbs up !! All two... :D
Good job!!!
Have I said that this one kills?
after rewatching this on a bigscreen, with bigass audio stuff i have to say this is very good!!!!!!!!!!!!!
freezes at the loading on a radeon 7500 mobility
very looong loading part
good ideas, and good scenes and visuals
but the music is horrible and the rythm is too fast for this kind of scenes
colors are not very good, too much purple for me, so a pigface here

Finally i saw this in my computer. Yeap, ASD rulez. They made one of the best demos ever seen.
However, ASD's style is not the style that i like (i prefer "fast and beaty" and "dark and melodic demos"). But this is a demo that you are not seeing too often. Most today's demos are flybys or bad written/boring effects (which i'm used to :). EOF is not a flyby and if someone says that has bad written or boring effects, (s)he has to see it again (but if (s)he still thinks that, then, whatever, everybody has a different taste for things).
@cp: The name and the music fits ok with this demo, which is a very good demo. You would say that these are "pathetic", if the demo was something that you see every day. But EOF is not an every day demo.
(and you can run it even on a P233 :)

i'll give it a thumbs-up for some very cute scenes (underwater, snow sphere, jellyfish). overall it's not one of my favorites demos though. overlay fx are overused, soundtrack's not my taste, and the colors are a tad too intense.
...and here's the thumb i promised :x
ah well, looks like i already gave it one... oh dear... don't comment on pouet before first coffee... don't comment on pouet... *strolls to kitchen, mumbling*
Oops.

For me this is THE Demo on PC. Perfectly showing what DEMO means. Now "2nd Reality" is on Place 2. ~_~
catalyst 2.4 fixed the problem with radeon 7500 mobillity.
And this is pure joy.
And this is pure joy.
FUCK! what a trip!!!!! weeeeeeeeeeeee
yeah, rocks. it wasn't perfect, but definitely it was good.
Humm pouet seems to be wrecked or something. It does not display the party released nor the Rank for this demo. It scored #1 in ReAct 02
Kickass!!!!!!!!!
Great :) More of this please :)
try this instead.

Da staunt ihr, was?
I love the big hand scene =D !
one of the best demos E V E R !
^^ Indeed it is. I like it more than Dreamchild, and it's a lot. Great music, great code, great design, great effects, great everything.
Now the scenes here and the effects be awsum music too.

god damn why did i miss this before!?
its awesome! lovely! brilliant in every way.
its awesome! lovely! brilliant in every way.
Decent demo, with quite a nice feeling, although I find Dreamchild to be significantly better (ambience as well as design wise). Not too sure what to think about the music, although the voices sound familiar (series? movie?) Some nice transitions as well.
it's most definately better than dreamchild, yet the predominantly colorscheme spoiled it for me again.
Weird.
I wanted to watch this again, but it crashed.
since I had some problems with fullscreen OpenGL apps (later I found out that this was the only one crashing), I patched out the modechange and started watchin in windowed. The loading passed, the music started to play, but nothing happened.
Later I found out that if I right-click the taskbar button of the demo, it starts to show, and keeps playing as long as the context-menu is visible. If I close it, it stops again.
Odd, isn't it?

Wow! I finally stimbled over it while i was searching for something of a kind for *years*. This demo (as the others from Andromeda i just watched) has a somewhat oldskoolish soundtrack and many innovative effects. It seems to continue the tradition of Final Reality in some sort - music, style...
People, THE SCENE IS ALIVE!
People, THE SCENE IS ALIVE!
Goode one. A whole lot of nice effects, fast-paced. Thumbs up!
yep! it lacks some overall design, but hey, this is cool!
fast-paced and surreal like a goa demo should be. Love those worlds-withing-worlds transitions!
that should be "worlds-within-worlds", of course
I, for one, welcome our new transitions overlords.
I like the music, aMUSIC!
l hope for new music soooooon!
l hope for new music soooooon!
The music is ok and there are some neat effects and scenes, but in general the design sucks, it's too incoherent. It's hard to believe this is made by the same people as Planet Risk, even though there are many similarities (colors, blur, transitions, layering and a bunch of recycled(?) 3D models, etc). It's nice to see how people progress.
this demo rocks ! great flow, colourful and fast paced music - two thumbs up !!!
2 years ago and I'm still impressed. I don't know how they could make it running so fast. WOW! These guys have goldfingers! Big respect.
definitely a great demo ... I love the "Contact" samples in the music (which is superb, btw) and the visuals are altogether great. however it miss like a "little somethin" to really be THE demo ...
Starts so so but becomes rather trippy and unexpected after a while which is good.
This kicks some butt! :-)
Amazing how all fit together in ASD productions.
Lot of respect from me little person.

ASD
no questions
The definition of a quality demo!!! Realy nice work.
seems there were some hiquality shrooms there :D
i'm gonna watch it again. another special thumb for amusic.
Really good, probably my favorite demo. The movie references are very nice.
If you didn't recognize it, all quotes are from Contact ( http://www.imdb.com/title/tt0118884/ ), a nice movie, but i liked the book better.

kind of reminded me of 604 by AND, for some reason. Still, nice stuff.
yep, superb
oh god
yeye
the clips from contact are cool. oh yeah nice demo too :)
WOW I'm speechless! Awesomely beautiful demo, and YESSS YESSSSSSSS Contact samples RULE! :)
And of course I forgot the thumb again.....:P
oh yeah, so good.
Best ASD demo ever... all the the other ASD demos are way too "arty" and overloaded :) Great music by aMusic here.
Music is just perfect. And the rest shows us the usual ASD quality.
Blimey, this prod kicks buttocks!

Sigh, kicked even back in 2002!
nice music, just beutiful, like the x-mas ball :)
Timeless classic! I've got some problems to get it to run on my new pc, though. Only works in Win98-compat. mode. Any chance of a fix?
One more happy customer.
I am late I guess. Catching up on the PC scene still ;) But damn this one was great demo. I like this a lot better than the newer demos from ASD.
Verrygoohd
nice
Eh! An atypical ASD demo! Lots of nice ideas here! Stylish 2D gfx - The music is not really my cup of tea
No thumb yet... hmm. Awesome particle work.
Brilliant production, design-wise absolutely astounding!
nice

i can't help myself. it looks nice, sounds great and there is so much going on. a real rush for sure. but it did not catch me. so here's a golden piggie.
ASD
I expected this old demo to be a lil bit worse.
.
Far from my favorite, but it did age well.
Excellent track from aMusic!
This is the best ASD demo, even today, in 2012.
Sorry, I can't get behind this. Butt ugly visuals with badly produced goa track, and the whole thing doesn't make any sense to me.
Somehow earlier ASD demo's really look and breath demo'ish.. and the music.. wow!
Forgot the thumb years ago.
first time I watch it
rules
Great effects and some interesting ideas, but music looks like having it's own flow on the side of the demo.
