Nice, software rendering demo. It has even a interactive part (virtual drummer, playing your .XM file)
but "a touch of funk" is way much better.

not the 'traditional style' of digital murder (kick ass hot ambiance music videos) but this one is really cool, the infinite reflection are impressive, the fractal zoom is particularly original for the time the demo was released, well, a very good one :)

From this and the later Digital Murder demos they have great ideas!
I like many things in this demo. The music first, the great zooming fx, and the drummer part (And I like that it compines many smooth 2d fx there among with 3d!)

One only thing that I hate. Put an Escape Key godamn! :P

very good job by Hulud for the code, including the bass drum player

tips : you can change the music, put your own music, and the bass drum player will play for your music :) so it's really real time

very good job by Alias for the 3d objects and the textures and design
more than 180 textures if i remember good

replace you in 1999 before see it
a must see demo for sure

A good demo with a sort of 'extreme' theme. (For the first part at least.) The drummer bit is interesting too.

Very good software rendering; I particularly like that it's not all DARK like many demos (:

Touch of Funk -LOOKS- better, but it's a later demo. Still, these 2 are classics.
Coooooooooool...
This is one cool SW-engine :)

Great 3D characters... The drummer part with the editable XM score is one of the best ideas in demoscene productions.

Great 3D software engine. I really liked this fast-paced demo, maybe more than "Just a touch of funk", but I couldn't decide :P

i love this demo. the music fits pretty nicely. the synchronization is great. the drummer part was pretty awesome in '99, and all in all, a great code, with great models and graphics. One of my all time favourite demos

the drummer totally rocks :D

The music isn't very good and there are some irritating bugs in the "diving" scene (the fence seems to be changing all of a sudden). However, overall it's a good demo technically, and it manages to pull of quite interesting effects.

I'm not terribly amazed by the drummer, though.

For some reason, I started thinking about this in my physics exam today. Apart from the drummer, most of it is forgettable..

I think most people don't understand why this demo is so great and should have come 1st the Volcanic 1999. The important thing is to understand that the dive-in effect (zoom in the zoom) is pretty original and on most computers, it's just a green and ugly blur effect. Yeah ! But on the big screen on the Volcanic party, it was amazing and people were screaming, it was sooo impressive ! I couldn't believe it myself... « They did it ! ». The surfer, the music, the drumer, the words... This was the Demo. I can't believe the other one did win. Probably because most people don't understand that 3D is not anything in a demo.

Jumpy! rulez. That was the best party ever ! I can't forget it my demo came last :).

I get a few artifacts around the edges and occasionally get some 3d jitters - but I'm running it on XP and it is a 99 demo. I'll give a thumbs up cos its original, dynamic, fun to watch!

The zoom effect here comes out with wrong RGB colors in both an old Pentium 3 DOS/Win98 I tried and modern PC. And other PCs in the past. Not sure why.
