One damn good effect, and a good tune. Sometimes that's all you need, and it works for me.
i like pretty much. perhaps i would have removed the background, it's distracting and doesn't match with the beautiful shapes of the particles, imho. music is cool. and ++ for releasing the source. assuming all prods are uploaded to pouet by now, i think it's my favourite of the compo.

I agree with IQ, the background doesn't really fit. But the particles run way faster than Navis's or Smash's on my computer, so thumb for that!

I think comparing the particles in-between prods is a little useless. Dumping k-particles to the GPU is no longer a worry (even my crappy 9400M can handle up to 4 million on-screen in realtime). It's more about the simulation that runs on these particles. If he had 1M particles under SPH on-screen at that speed, I'd indeed say his implementation must be better (and smaller) than Smash's. But, I don't see any SPH there.
On the other hand, the prod is a little too random for my taste. The background looks too out of place and the particles are freaking particles. Meh.

one thing: not sure if you noticed that most code and performance was going into building and lighting the particlesurface by using a different approach on that which could also be useful for SPH or big particledemos + that it's using some not so well documented "new" opengl features. :)

i LOVE the soundtrack and the single sounds. this is the best snare i have ever heard in a 4k intro.

Didn't keep my interest for too long (a bit less random would be good) but nice nevertheless. Also, extra bonus Scenepoints for releasing the source :)

Nice effect. Intro itself is a bit too long for the content tho.
Too random for me, but the background/walls is kinda nice vanishing to the depth.
