'don't expect another propaganda', said tmk, and rightly so. this one possesses the same 'style mishmash'-feeling as their prevoius one (there are fx, mostly of the metaballish kind, there are videos of night tokyo, there are some sort of a 'street fighter kids' 3d scenes, there are - of course! - j-babe 2d pics), but overall it just doesn't seem to work as well as it did..

I think this one rules. The code is very good, music cool and nice gfx (less babes this time which is good).

Very good work!

finalversion as well as partyversion-upgrade are done, but are waiting for ftp.scene.org to cool down before upload. :) get one of those instead of the partyversion. yes, we mean it. :)

No, it's not Propaganda, but it's still cool. :-) A worthy winner, at least :-)

I like Propaganda much more than this, even though there does seem to be some similar elements. (Such as a recipe...) Not as 'hectic' but still has a few nice bits. I do like video snippets added to demos, and the rolling eyeballs were a nice touch.

WTF? Apart from a couple of nice effects and some great art by TMK, this sucks compared to Propaganda. No style.

nice, but far from as good as propaganda (as stated above)
rulez added on the 2002-04-02 13:44:02 by a_lee_n a_lee_n
why do you all have to compare this to propaganda? this is not propaganda. this is not meant to be propaganda.
anyway, if anyone cares, you can get the final version aswell as a compo->final upgrade pack from:

krav > since it looks like a remix of propaganda with not as good music? =)

kindof funny.. 2 demo remixes in top3 ;D

(Propaganda and et.tv+others ;)

how much $$$ did you get to do that ? =)

Liked the music by gloom there. Also a great demo, but seems like they did it in a hurry.
Hurry code, hurry graphics..etc.. Imho, it looks like a propaganda remix.
Anyways one of the best demos at TG for sure

sorry, but i don't like it. it's in no way comparable to the great propaganda they showed us last year. just some recycled ideas without style and proper music. gfx by tmk are good once again, but i still prefer the scroller from propaganda over each of the pics contained in this one :)
sucks added on the 2002-04-03 02:12:17 by robotriot robotriot
Robotriot has right : this demo plain sucks !!! Nothing interesting, nothing except average music......all is like some trash that was not used in Propaganda....I love INF demos , I thing Love Creation MAX is one of the best demos i have ever seen and Propaganda is a very good "powerdemo", but this is average boring "sh*t from recycled Inf ideas....I was very dissapointed, how this demo is unfinished..........

ahh, cannonball> you suck :)

It didn't work fully on my ATI, but I think it was good even though it lacked some design and wasn't nowhere near the quality of Propaganda like others have also noticed.
rulez added on the 2002-04-07 13:50:38 by DiamonDie DiamonDie
Bah, I'd say it's quite impossible to "just recycle Propaganda effects" when the engine is rebuilt from scratch and even uses D3D8 instead of OpenGL :-P

Well, okay, the "let's distort video using 2D effects" is the same, but there is stuff like character animation etc. that doesn't exactly look like Propaganda. Of course, I'll leave it to krav and the rest of the guys to make something hyper-creative for the next party ;-)

Not propaganda, but clean and nice.
rulez added on the 2002-04-16 20:22:16 by jb jb
Are you kidding? Rocks hard! Definitely not "too short" like some ppl say, but it does repeat a few parts at the end. Still, it has more effects than Propaganda.. making it a bit less consistent/artistic, but more in the traditional demo-vein. People hoping for ripped music again will be let down :) (kudos to Gloom).

a lot of abstract effects combined with nice colours and loads of blending.
even the character animation looks reasonably real.
so far my favourite inf demo!

rulez a lot, never get bored watching it:

great sinchro, great dune artwork, stunning gloom sountrack, and amazing cutting edge effects with cheap easy 3d cards, more funny this way than the same thing using gf4/ATI 90xx exclusive stuff, as seem this way has became a habit

good music and nice effects at a non-boring pace :)

Nice combination of tech- and styledemo, some very good parts, but overall I liked the second place more.

Hell yeah. Though the music is not for my taste, the effects and graphics are neat.

I actually think the video manipulation in this works better than in Propaganda. Is that animation or mocap? :)

NOW This is dam cool. It flows well, it's technically impressive to me, and it's not depressing like some other demos.

It had some really nice effects - but it lacked at some parts - i missed some of the connections between the screens. But nice anyway and the sound was really sweet

massive soundtrack, nice effects too.

I'm a sucker for video based effects. Still quite dull though, with awful palettes and run of the mill effects of the era. Dug the music a bit, certainly above par for big beat breaks from the scene.
