Given that the machine seems to be completely hopeless to code for, this is pretty awesome :)

Now I wonder if it's possible to run this on the NTSC zx-81 [aka the timex sinclair 1000]. Shall give that a shot

micksam7: it should work without problems.
super
yep!
That's quite impressive.
Sdw: yes, You're right, it loses synchro on the bottom of the screen on Timex Sinclair 1000 but still the errors are not very visible and it still looks OK. Especially that ZX81/TS users will be happy to have any new demo at all, heheh. :)
It really looks not bad.

nice
Actually, it looks rather excellent on a timex 1000 :) A few errors here and there, but only at the end of each effect, it also runs about half the speed but still is more than watchable.
kewl
As usual :) Sdw's 1st fan !
yet again...excellent!
Nice but a bit repetitive...
Actually it isn't repetitive - it's simply looped. And it's very good, as the computer has no sound by itself.
I wouldn't have believed that was possible. Great stuff.
I have absolutelly no idea how is it done, but it rules for sure!
great stuff :)
well done
Hi SDW, this is absolutely nice. How the heck did you do this. I remember my ZX 81 (I soldered it together myself - also the reason why it died years later ;-) could read charset data only from the ROM, but also the CPU was involved somehow. Seems you managed to override what the CPU does. Great job!
rulez
Thumb for your work and micksam7's test aswell :)
whreee
aw yeah.
Impressive stuff for ZX81, cant wait to learn those hax!
great!
