Cool, I love this!!!
Intro, funny, clever, nice sine/distort/3images mix.
Main demo, funny. Favorite quote "Nowadays, things are not so colorful. Signs of maturity?"
Really, love it!

Thanks for the spirit, and thanks for the laugh during the IRC part. A really good prod.
Thank you Dbug for a very much entertaining production! Power without the price! :P
solid prod and great xia tune =)
unusual demo and very entertaining! <3
A very nice demo !
Really nicely put together, stylish and entertaining (and I love the end logo :). Great XiA tune too !
nice, but i find the contrast between the first, modern part and the rest (which is very oldschoolish) too big
Nice!

IRC, forums, videos, internet, trolls & glops, but not much demomaking :(
Absolutley on the spot!
http://dhs.nu/video.php?ID=251 better 50fps-video :)
This was a great one dbug. grats on actually manage to pull of combination humour (without getting stupid) and staying oldskool enough to be a great tribute for the birthday of the STe without getting fucking boring ;)
Lots of thumbs up from me!

damn cool stuff!
Great demo (even though we were forgotten...). Signs of maturity? ;)
Congrats!
Congrats!
funky!
really nice retro vibes. well presented screens. like the overscan. i don't like the 2MBness, of course ;) and perhaps the fx are a little on the oldschool side.. but overall, leaves you with a warm feeling to help you get through these dark days.
Cute!
Thanks for the gentle kick in the butt (IRC #atariscne capture :))

Nice design and show
I really like the realistic graphics.
Cool music too (props to the Magical Sound Shower part at the end ;)

almost got a thumb, but the title is too annoying.
dbug: i'm a man-made Global Warming "denier" :)
"saves" would be a better choice in connection with the prefix
fun! sweety zik! gratz dbug :)

I agree! Doesn't happen very often in the scene of today.
A pleasure to watch!
The whole thing made me smile a lot :-)
I loved the subversion of that bloody awful anti-piracy commercial at the start.
Thanks Dbug!

Thanks Dbug!
What a suprising production, full of intersting ideas. Amazing presentation, I was kind of shocked about the very colorful and flexible way of graphic display right at the start. All along with the changes in music, outstanding sync (for Atari ST platform;) and the mixture of tribute to the past and present, it's just unique. I will watch this pretty often, there is so much to discover.
One can see you put a lot of passion into this demo Dbug! Great work :))

dbug: i actually like the prod, so i will keep my politics out and thumb up. :) just wish it didn't contain all the Climate Change propaganda.
Excellent ! thx a lot for this nice gift dbug
nice
You made my day with this one Dbug :)
so funny and oldskoolish! Watch it 3 times in repeat:) Music is great too!
very nice work dbug ! full of full :)
A very different style which I really enjoyed. Nice one guys!
I almost never thumb stuff down, but... scrolling pictures!? It came close to a piggy because of the irc part and Out Run music :) but... Atari+slide show=meh+shrug.
Nice one
STE !
Some really nice and funny ideas! But graphics and effects are not my cup of tea - so just a piggy this time.
Awesome! Love it!
nice one!
Very nice IRC screen and smooth STE feature use, with splits and HW srolling.
Definite thumb for the slightly different style! Dunno about many other demso in this style on ST or STE....

Wow, lots of funny stuff and nice ideas! Nice homage to couple old tunes in the music as well.
Its full of nice ideas and i like it. Reminds me a lot of the dealer demos and i guess thats intended.
Nice concept! Entertaining and smart! ;)
respect dbug, nice to meet you!
S ave T he E arth
what stingray said.
the first part should not be part of a demo. the second part is very nice and original, too bad the pictures are computer converted, I think a little more pixel art work should have done clean result :)
hehe nerve like u say SaveThe Earth
no greet, no thumb :P
nah, seriously:
even Homer got feared in the background...first !
( eventho i approve the messy in the first part ! )
what followed was awesome...really kewl graphics and all in all a superb anniversary-tro !
music ruled all the way, especially ofcoz after the drive had loaded and depacked :)
only thing missing were some more effects maybe, but its kool as is !

Quite funnaey. Hit the spot with "not much demomaking.." :/
OK. Maybe I expressed myself a bit harshly. But sheesh Dbug, retaliation for a downthumb!?
You don't have to understand my demo to like it, and maybe it's a lot of code work to do overscan on STe. But this was not a demo-like object to me, and I didn't enjoy it. It's just my opinion, dude.

I didn't care much for the first part, but overall I really liked the style, the humor and presentation.
hehe... uber cool and funny to watch.
very nice, pure good feeling :)
Nice and funny.
me likes
Happy birthday to the STe, and thanks for this good demo !
Like the colorful landscapes part (who said "signs of imaturity" ??) and the sound of that good old floppy drive !

fun to watch
entertaining, enojoyable & environmental-friendly!
we want more!
we want more!
Hehe I like! Almost as an amiga.. ;)
Very nice idea, excecuted really well :)
I really like this. It might not be the most technical demo, but it's creative and original. It makes me think how narrow the constraints are that we consciously or subconsciously put on demo making. Scrollers, zoomers, 3d scenes... there's more to life!
I enjoyed this a lot!
gotta luv this! Great work dbug!!
AWESOME!
so many neat ideas and little details.
really cool.

really cool.
i'm gay as fuck 24/7
i liked this though
Not bad.
A very cool Demo. The only criticism i have (and this is solely personal) is that it does not demonstrate to the ignorant such as myself what feet it is actually achieving on the Atari. It was only after speaking to the Author did i realise that most of what i saw in the demo is not usually possible. Made possible only through the wizardry of the coder to fully utilise the raster colour changes and stuff. I was not so impressed with the music which (whilst most cpu time was consumed processing the gfx prohibiting sid, samples and other fancy stuff) didn't even put the hardware envelope to good use. However overall a cool demo.
very well done!
Very entertaining. Good work.
I totally dig it
I rather enjoyed the self-referential style in this... and I am a sucker for birthday demos (having made one ourselves...)
Sweeeeeeet ! Me liked !
po-wer !
one more time...
PO-WER !!!
PO-WER !!!
and now the thumb ... :p
Very nice, happy 20th!
Nice, left me feeling all warm and fuzzy!
Slightly mixed feelings about this one. The aggressive first part is cool but doesn't really mix well with the laid back second, which is cool, even though the graphics are of very mixed quality and the number of effects is rather low ...
Then again, a lot of effort has been invested into little details, the soundtrack by XiA is awesome and i like the little story it tells. I ran it quite a couple of times so here's my thumb.

strange, but like it..
Oldskool will never die ;)

I'm compelled to MIGHTILY thumb up this prod! :D
Sweet birthday-celebration for the STe.
...on a side issue ... you can't possibly be serious about these climate-links you've given in the prod ?

dOdge: these links were commissioned by jay-Z himself!
quite nice
Dbug: yeah, I recognised the '*' but I think the light greyish text was a little too lightish and got 'eaten' during the capture.
But I assume it has an ironic hunch ;)
@Okkie ... you can't bully me into an argument - there must be somebody else, wasted, to pull a lynndie on - go for it!

ST rules!
Emotion.
Smart design without useless sophistication, and you have a point: 1980's demoscene offered very flashy demos ;).
This rulez
cute one, Dbug et. al !
very nice demo !
Nice solid demo.
:)
yea
Good stuff.
nice!!!!! rulez!!!!!
awesome :_)
Makes no artistic statement, prefers instead to display text about how the climate and the scene are going to hell.
Multiplane scroll was nice but the ugly fullscreen climate change ad with blue underlined links and the depressingly hopeless, defeatist messages make me dislike this quite a lot.

Nice graphics.
:)
Very nice production on Atari STE !
Great pity that this demo does not inside the 20 Years Atari STE Megademo...

Nice!
dbug, fair point. I'm not against your message but the way you delivered it didn't inspire me. It seemed sad for you to wonder where the colours have gone and complain about "not much demo making", and I didn't find that motivational. I found it to be depressing.
What I meant by "makes no artistic statement" was that you simply tell me directly what your point is, and you do this before I've had a chance to figure it out for myself and get on board. It's preaching.
I don't expect Atari demos to be high art or anything, but I also don't expect to see a pop-up ad in the middle of a demo (or at the end for that matter). It totally interrupted the flow for me, and thats why I thumbed you down, which is a shame because the atari manufacture part was pretty cool.

This demo ownz!!!!! F*ck YEAH!!!!!
Not much of an atarian myself, but thumb for the message in the IRC-part and the very nice micro-bleeps!
The mini-story was nicely done. Very pleasant to watch and to hear, as always with Dbug since the Phaleon's Illusion STE screen :)
One of my favourite STE demos!

I have some unused material from the development of this demo, who knows, perhaps I'll find time to use it for a new one at some point.
Good to hear that, pity I can only thumb up once here :-)
Rocks, pretty nice code!
what i like about many atari prods is that they are not effect shows but try to tell some kind of story and come up with nice ideas for it.
ive never seen fake-irc in a demo before and the tune is also awesome (outrun at the end!!).
refreshing :)

Very nice!
fakeirc, tune and powerwithout the price and fun story =D
Really interesting and original demo !
i say: DO IT!
Enjoyable
I gave it another try yesterday, and it's better than i first thought.
cool, fun & pleasant. Music is excellent.
Endpart reminds me of the excitement of getting my STE in December 1989.
I forgot to thumb'up, so enthousiastic to watch it the 1st time :)
and #100 thumb'up for Save the Earth which deserves it a lot !

Impossible not to love this demo!
a really cute and lovely demo, well done dbug :)
LOVE !!!!
cool
Utterly awesome demo. Quite unique in its style, and accompanied with great music that goes along with the very nice story. A slight disconnect with the save the earth theme, other than it goes along nicely with STE :).
and now it is 15 years ;-)
Enjoyes it. :-)
