Newschool effects on genesis is interesting because the only demos I had seen in the past in this console where hardware scroller screens and such. The screenshot seems interesting even if too ugly. I tried to run it on gens emulator and I failed. What do you suggest? (except from the real thing of course :)

Failed on gens. Hmm.. Well it seems to work on generator and genecyst. May I ask what happened on gens. did anything show?

Couldn't get it to work on a real Genesis (Megadrive II).

In Gens there's no output at all (debugger says that it's stuck at PC=0x20032003, which is neither in ROM or RAM).

In Kega Fusion there's output but it's messed up:

Wasn't Genecyst written by the same guys who wrote Nesticle? If so I'd stay far away from it if you're looking for an accurate emulator.

It worked with the Generator emulator. But the demo wasn't very good. Badly lacking some music.

mic, thanks for the information. Not sure why the pc would be there, unless an op-code got mangled or it's trying to execute something it shouldn't. I'll try and fix these problems and release something else, perhaps with music. Thanks.

As I understand the Bloodlust emulators focused on speed rather than accuracy. Good for slow computers but by no means perfect. But about the prod, I would like to see more, please. :)

For music you could use TFM Music Maker or (shameless plug) XPMCK.

Ahh so you're the xpmck person. My friend mentioned that to me too.. I'll take a look

Tried it on a japanese megadrive-2, where only shows a blank screen.

Fuck I hate this! A file from 2009, merely 5 years ago, and *GONE*! We can find Sumerian clay tablet from 5000 years ago, but a demo from 5 years is too hard...

if only more people would host their stuff at untergrund.net (or ask it to be hosted on scene.org)..

Tried testing it on Exodus, BlastEm, and Kega Fusion.
BlastEm crashes, Exodus doesn't even show anything but grey, and Kega Fustion only runs it with glitches.
Apparently, it doesn't even work on hardware. Boo.
