Winamp does not look better. This was mostly ok, I guess, but this sort of plain minimalism is not what I like. In my mind, it screamed for music with more BASS and for visuals with more balls.
I rather liked this. I'm always fascinated by those emerging patterns from overlapping alpha geometry. Plus a demo that took only a moment to download and runs on my laptop gets bonus points. Not high art, not high tech but enjoyable enough for a thumb.

These comments are harsh :). It was quite nice.. the sync succeeded in achieving a bit of a trance effect. Also found it cool that an orange scene was used to make the upcoming blue stronger (I'm guessing that was intentional). Only criticism is that for me, it went down a bit too much in the greetings part. I think I can see what people mean by '4k', since the font and its rendering was a bit weak.. but.. whatever.
oh, the 'orange scene' I was referring to was actually mostly yellow (the tunnel).. anyway, it did the job.

An early 2000 demo look alike, which I really enjoyed. Nice music, nice sync, nice effects, nice movement. Not a killer demo, but nice in every way.

some of the effects were clearly fillers but the whole clean aesthetic thing was quite nice.
