And it's much better, than stupid 'mhc like' Minimal demos. Only mhc was great. So itami_ like mhc in noice. respect to coma & mfx.

macaw, coma rocks! mfx rocks! but coma doesn't make powernoise demos. Virne makes ambient noise, sometimes industrial. Not powernoise. And of course I like coma demos.

if there's a demo released in the last 6 months that deserves a sucks, it's this one.

Being a person who loves Converter and other Ant-Zen artists and who often finds himself laughing at people trying to define what is and, more importantly, what isn't music according to their own tastes, I was tempted to give this one a thumbs up before even viewing it. Fortunately that temptation was short-lived, for a thumbs up this doesn't exactly deserve.

The music was decent. Can't give credit to the makers of the demo for that though, and any track on Converter's "Shock Front" album is much better.

The rest of the demo.. well, could have been a lot more interesting had it been longer and had it been given a chance to evolve.

Won't give a sucks since it managed to be interesting for a while but won't give a rulez either. The beginning and that thing that looked a bit like splashing water were OK. Would like to see a bit more ideas and progression and non-ripped music next time.

Night_, your attitude sucks. Don't try to compare your own production with productions which are way better than this.

it's a brave production and i like the fact that there are no posermodels or starships in it!

This may be music, but it's at best VERY mediocre for its kind.

people should learn to shut their mouth when they don't like something. i didn't see the demo, and i don't plan to download it (cause i usualy don't like this kind of demo).

people commenting with the word "sucks" should be kicked in the ass. maybe it's one of their first demo ? instead of saying crap like "it sucks" why don't you just give tips and advices about how to make the next production better ?

the problem with demosceners is that they have no respect for other people work. even if you don't like it, keep it for yourself and keep your mouth shut.

some people work their ass off to produce stuff, and then they receive this kind of comments. i find it very extremely immature to see similar comments, considering the fact that most demosceners are supposed to be mature (considering the age range -- 18 to 30?).

a lot of noise for not much (and i'm talking about the comments on this page) ... objectively the demo is nothing special, got some nice syncs in the beginning but loses something after. I might question the design which is rather conventional. (nothing problematic with that except it doesn't really match the 'rebel' attitude ;) Finally it has the right length (short) and is of a moderate size.

Strangely enough, for me to have gotten anything out of that demo, the noise would have had to have gone on for a lot longer than it did.

No, but strange as it may be, it has managed to gather it.

My take? It's NOT bad. It's just different. I like different things, it's just that this needed more work to be something. Yes, the audio is not your average Frank Sinatra but that's how it's supposed to be. The concept reminds me of Mother My Eyes Hurt, only this time its for the ears... :-)

And... ok guys. we were sitting with upi and thinkin about detroit318. Btw, It will be 'normal' demo. We saw "Mother My Eyes Hurt" and realy didn't like it. Demo was too boring. It was cool, but toooo boring. And we desided to create short and MEGAF*CKING intro ( in the begining we wanted to created 64kb). The latest demos (after assembly2k1) was too boring. We desided to make little quake in demos. We just did it. We didn't want to create something outstanding, we wanted to create something realy MAD before MRS2k2. And we did it. I don't know, why you say "sucks". If you don't like extreme noise, download macaw's demos. If you like itami_, ok may be we will create something like it. btw, it's size only 2MB.

I can't say anything about it because it hangs up on my comp.

216: There are no rand() in second part. 3d object taken from kernel32.dll and mixed with sphere. Noise texture created in photoshop & Motions created using Motion capture. We rocks :)

i can't help finding it strange that people talk crap about someone who does something different for a change. correct me if i'm wrong, but isn't the demoscene about breaking out of the normal "rules" and do something that make you feel good. sure, the soundtrack is 80% whitenoise, but who said a demosoundtrack had to be all melodic and shit in the first place? we've just grown acustom to find this and that in demos, and that's bad. so whether you like this demo or not, it sure made you people come out of the woodwork and state your opinion. whichever way you swing.

and lots of composers in the scene suck and their tunes should not be used in any demos (not even in the bad ones).
