plus it crashes with d3d debug.

damn people, learn to read the sdk documentation.

heh, the text in prod should have have gotten some proof-reading before release, but disregarding that, I like it. Nice atmosphere, and a fairly good batch of chips. The scroller could have been somewhat faster though. But the bottomline: it does what it's supposed to do in a nice, slick fashion.

The chiptunez are excellent. The colors are nice and it didn't crash, although I was listening to the tunez for a pretty long time...

And, as with the Colin Mc Rae 2 cracktro, a Razor1911 prod brings tears to my eyes... :'P

That's a 'rulez' in my book :-)

doesn't run here. no error message or anything.
doesn't run here is a strange error. Could you be enough friendly to give you config ? cpu-dx-mem-videocard ? I think it could be more usefull thant 'doesn't run here' ;)

Maybe everyone should have their hardware listed on their info page, so when someone says "it didn't work!" you can click on their name to find out their system specs.. or click on other ppl's names to find out what it DOES work on :).

Anyway, passed with flying colors here, Athlon 1.4/512mb/DX8/Nvidia 12.41/Win98. Isn't that Djamm tune from an old Kloon intro? Still a good one.

replay: oh please. this is not d3ds fault. it is a simple bug of yours, which was mentioned in the debug log i mailed you.

besides, i got dx debug level to second highest value, so that's probably why it doesn't crash on your computer. still, it worked on my computer with dx8 release, some please DON'T keep picking on configuration details when I know it's not the reason. argh.
added on the 2001-09-19 02:31:44 by ryg ryg
there's a pattern: it is not working on the machines of developers who have bugs in their code. (dx debug? what is that? ;)
added on the 2001-09-19 07:35:50 by _-_-__ _-_-__
i haven't installed the dx8 sdk.
knos: directx8 debug runtime

stylish albeit a bit cheap :)
oh and uhm
i want to support ryg's statement in this discussion

READ THE F U C K I N G SDK DOCUMENTATION

and never use ms example code :)
added on the 2001-09-19 19:12:39 by superplek superplek
hm. it actually works on my machine =)

a little nice production.. I like the style, but there's one bad thing though... it would have been nice to be able to get the modules exported from the exe or whatever, so I can listen to them separately..

anyway, thumbs up from me =)
and weeh, I'm greeted too! :D
rulez added on the 2001-09-21 22:20:13 by fox fox
the ms example code is not the problem, startup works perfect.

it's just that replay is using an invalid flag combination for the lock call. which i'm trying to explain him for 3 days now. which he STILL doesn't seem to understand.

aaaaaaaargh...
added on the 2001-09-22 00:53:31 by ryg ryg

well done, some goods chiptunes in this webtro (same as bbstro advertisement)
in the next issue : can you let the title of the song played on the screen ?
(laisser le nom de la musique en permanence sur l'ecran?)
good design, good effect, few musics, try it
and dont forget to listen Nectarine radio !!!
"the ms example code is not the problem, startup works perfect."

that piece of code "assumes" a little too much

what lock params is he giving then btw?
rulez added on the 2001-09-23 13:11:43 by superplek superplek
D3DLOCK_DISCARD/D3DLOCK_NOOVERWRITE on a non-dynamic VB.

Ehm. Why use D3D for 2d stuff? I hope it's got something to do with the DX8 SDK.

Anyway, great intro but way too lengthy ..
added on the 2001-11-11 17:37:13 by cloaked cloaked
Is the scroller and the rotating sprites supposed to jump? It seems like a timing problem. I am running the intro on a dual-cpu machine (P4 Xeon)...
added on the 2001-11-20 15:30:22 by neon neon
yep, i know for the timing problem... an old debug line i forgot to remove :(
... no pity for me ...

added on the 2002-05-06 07:14:46 by amd amd
I don't understand aftermath saying "IT RULES!!!!" a thousand times. Imho it doesn't rule at all. It has some good music, but besides that the graphics is not good, and there are only a few of them. If razor wants to become good in intros/demos again they need to put a lot of work into it. Their name is not enough!
