1981 !!! nothing more to say :)
hihi, apple2, tried one of those ages ago :D anyway.. 1981.. yay! older than me :D
Apple. Cracktro.
I grew up on a 48K Apple II...
And "The Pirate" cracked about half the games I had for it!
But those didn't actually have Cracktros...just a line inserted saying "Broken by The Pirate"
My Loderunner game, more specifially.

Respect for the pioneers. And hey, this does do its job as a crack intro :)

eastcoast pioneers!
Lets party like its 1981
I found some stuff as early as 1979 from someone called "the whip" but they're just messages embedded inside the cracked programs.
That's earliest instance of a message/intro put in front of a game i could find (they were called "screens" back then).

You know you're dealing with old stuff when someone can safely call himself "The Pirate" without being lame because he's simply the first to do so :-)
Apple. Cracktro. 1981. ;)
History.
I had my school enrolment in September '81. Thumb up for that :D
What janer said.
i wasn't even alive when this one was released =)
hitchhikr: big respect for your archaeological work! however, i suspect there may be older stuff to find somewhere (the oldest atari8 stuff i can dig up is from 1979 also, but apple is an older platform afaik). so please keep on digging! :)
this guy invented perhaps the term "pirating a game"

pretty old huh
Oh globbits. This is probably the oldest "cracktro" on the site.
...though I think there's probably more earlier than that.

Historical!
"oh globbits" Oh stop, me from 4 years ago. You're not from Smethwick, Birmingham.
Interesting piece of history, anyhow.
