Kay decided to make the last beta 2.40 free.
I heard, it runs also on Vista without problems.
Best Windows MOD player ever :)

ok, i see how trackers could kind of be demotools, but module players? seriously?
added on the 2007-08-27 02:49:47 by reed reed
It's a very suitable demotool when you need to gather scene modules for compilations, and to air playlists at demoparties.
M4W was famous on Windows 3.1.

What reed said. Also, xmplay is better..

This was the shit on Windows 3.11/95 and probably the only shareware tool I considered registering, but it was rendered obsolete as soon as modplug and xmplay (both free and better) came around. Also, I think this has been freeware for years already.

I still don't think module *players* should be listed as demotools... that is stretching the term a bit.

reed: why not, if it's a scene release. but it's hard to distinguish scene releases from normal lamer pd/shareware nowadays... in earlier times scene release had a group acronym in the file name, or an scene-made ascii in the file_id.diz.... anyway, i believe this is not a scene release...

@dip: i think it isnt a scene release, but a usefull tool, and one of the powerful players in the 90s...

xmplay for the win, seriously, also who cares about win 3.1 legends nowadays?

demotools should be something you use to create content. you cant create modules with his so it is not a demotool.

Waste of time, space and bandwidth. From v1 to this version.

yeah, possibly it *was* a great player a decade ago, but now... it lacks support of important formats like IT, just get a REAL player, get xmplay. no IT support = useless for me

a classic. supported a lot of strange formates too. my favorite feature was the effects view which taught me a lot about modules.

That was my first modplayer, and I was felt in love with it! (in the 2003)
But now, more experienced about music, I thing XMPlay and ModPlug Player are MORE better than this one. I've liked the "effects" page and the rack.
So I vote it's OK.

Best player ever, I got my copy coming along with a book and a CD full of MODs in the mid 90s... Too bad that it was discontinued.

This one was my 1st module player!

+ Had really a great interface!

- But the lacking of the IT support and some FX that aren't well replayed wasn't cool.

So it's an OK prod!
